You go, sunchild! 2x wheatgrass? Blech!

B- green smoothie: pineapple, celery, lettuce, parsley, ginger
S- banana, apple
L- monster salad
S- nectarine
D- raw 'meat' balls, with cabbage and greens in a beet sauce
D- raw choco bar, yum

I overate yesterday, :( almost a whole package of sun dried mangoes for dessert and raw 'brownie', dates, agave, cacao nibs and coco powder. Overeating is not good for your body no matter what diet you are on. Though I do love that I can really eat RAW must moderate.

Hi everyone! I'm signing up a little late for this August challenge but I'm starting today, nevertheless! I'm actually going to do the 100 day raw challenge at rawfu.com. It starts August 10th. Anyway, no more putting it off, I'm ready NOW!!

Hey chattanoog, glad you mentioned the rawfu challenge was starting up again - am going to sign up to...
Feel great this morning, want to stick to this plan forever. Feeling much younger, brain fog from sugar addiction has finally dissipated.
Going to start the day with a kilo of tangerines!

Wow! You are all going great gangbusters! Good show!

Still haven't made the borscht :o. Yesterday - Ended up just finishing the soaked sunflower seeds in a light dressing and munching a daikon with it. Had a handful of macadamia nuts for Dsrt.

Today's eating plan -
B - freshly squeezed red grapefruit juice
L - GS with kale, strawberries and frozen banana
S - radishes And avocado
D - hopefully that borscht! Didn't make this again tonight! Had Daikon and macadamia nuts
Dsrt - pineapple cantaloupe sorbet - my blog (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/blog.php?u=21132) has details. Not sure if I'm gonna make this either.

Didn't get to post yesterday, usually do it at night, but we had horses loose and didn't get in until 10:30 or so. Did really well. Had a bit of a headache yesterday, but it's going away today.

I can't believe how the scale's gone down since last time I weighted myself, about a week ago, before starting raw. 7lbs. I figure that I will consider this my raw starting point as far as weight loss goes. Need to take before pics, before I lose much more.

We got a bushel of peaches, and they are delicious. I can't wait until my nutsonline order gets here, so I can make a raw peach cobbler. Yesterday, I had a peach, almonds and a big salad.

Today so far, a peach, and now a big salad. Mood seems to be good. I can't wait 'til I'm in this about 2 weeks. I felt so good in January about that time. Should be even better with summer here, sunshine and a little more svelte!

Keeping my fingers that the headaches were it for detox, as I have to work the next 3 days and I just don't know how I'd get through work if detox were as bad as in January. Terrible back pain induced nausea, dry heaves, etc. (my 9 year old son thought I should go to the hospital).

Going outside and get some of this wonderful sunshine right now...

Hope everyone's getting through this and feeling great! :)

Hello EveryBODY!

Missed posting yesterday but had a great day.... last night had my fave 'angel hair pasta & sauce' from summer squash in the spiralizer and a variation on Alissa's recipe (didn't have orange juice or an orange... who knew?) but it was delicious nonetheless. So my takeaway: The recipes are guides.... suggestions, if you will.... but making substitutions with what's on hand (raw, of course) is not only ok, but necessary to being able to really 'do' this....

And was able to make ahead lunch for today and OH MY GOD it was gorgeous to look at and delectable. I made more 'noodles' from a zuchinni (sp)... I have a great peeler that peels it like that... it's a bit thicker, heartier, than the spiralizer.... added thinly sliced yellow peppers, grape tomatoes, thin slices of red onion and firm criminis chopped..... topped this all with a scrumptuous sauce from raw almond butter, fresh garlic, raw honey, water, and namu shoya (sp).... The gals I lunched with today were bowled over and declared that I would be making them all raw foodies soon.... YAY...

I feel so happy right now. I LOVE this feeling. Is it possible to in only a few days not be feeling the bloat that seemed to follow me every single day....???

WooHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

:)

Today I have been very hungry. I had breakfast (a banana), lunch (mix salad), snack (two peaches), dinner (another big salad) and now, at 11.20 pm I am starving! So strange. Usually I am not very hungry, neither during the day nor in the evening.
Of course, I won't eat anything. It's too late.
Besides, I feel tired too, like I finished all my resourses (maybe this is the reason I am hungry). I need to sleep. And I need to drink a lot of water!
And I noticed a different salt taste. A week ago I started to use a lot of salt: I needed to eat salty vegetables. Now, the same amount of salt is quite too much. It's amazing how our body needs different things in different periods and tells us how to behave. And it's terrible realizing it had always told me what it needed but I never heard it before. Very sad.
Now it's time for me to take a shower and go to bed.
See you tomorrow!

You are all doing so well - keep up the good work! I wasn't that hungry today so I am trying to listen to my body and only eat when I feel I need to. I am finding that when I put chia seeds in my smoothie, I feel full right up to lunch time. Here's my food for the day:

- Smoothie with banana, cherries, chia, cacao powder, Vitamineral greens, chia seeds and one date
- 2 apple cinnamon flax crackers
- Garden salad
- Banana
- Chocolate hazelnut cup

I am planning to have coconut milk before bed - that always really satisfies me!

Have a great day!

Hi everyone. It is cold and gloomy here in Montana. We are wishing for some nice summer weather, especially for our family camp next week.
I had to do my early shift today and not feeling my best. I have had a mild annoying headache since yesterday. I don't know if it is the weather, detox, or lack of water (not drinking enough). But I feel really tired tonight and I have SO much to do in the next two days. BLEH, I hope I feel better tomorrow.

B: Green smoothie of banana, kale, almonds, and coconut oil.
L: Nectarine, cheesy cucumber rice
S: Nectarine, cheesy cucumber rice

Boring food today, lol. My daughter is making us another green smoothie as we speak, of kale and nectarines. Maybe that will perk me up

Today I was 100% Raw, and it was easy! I'm very proud and very happy with it. I've definitely got some extra weight to release.

Breakfast/snacks:apples and bananas
lunch: raw creamy spinach dip with celery

I work over-night, so I'm not done eating yet!
For dinner: zuchinni noodles, grape tomatoes, avacado as dressing, and corn on the cob! Yummm!

Last night, an hour or so before bed I got really hungry which isn't like me that late. So I ate, and I was up 2.6 lbs today! But my period did come yesterday evening so I'm going to blame it on that. I wasn't very hungry for the first part of the day, but by dinner time I was again. I also woke up with a sore throat and strong bitter taste in my mouth (more so than normal), but those went away after a couple of hours. My nose has been stuffed more than normal for the past 24 hours, but it's dry so I can't blow it. A few hours ago I also got really irritable and weepy but it passed after a couple of hours. Weirdly, my mom felt the same way (she's doing the challenge too) at the same time. Maybe it was the eclipse? It happened right around that time. Also, my back is hurting again today a little too. :(

B - 1/4 Watermelon

L - Vegetable Juice - kale, celery, cucumber, spinach, beets, dandelion, and carrot

D - small raw pizza from ingredients I made the other day, some Waldorf salad (I made this today for the first time and it was really good, I used the recipe from Living Cuisine but changed some of the ingredients. I added grapes and left out the carrot and parsley and also made the dressing sweeter - the dressing could be used on other salads, it's like a sweet lemon tahini dressing), some of my cheese cracker, some cherries, 2 strawberries, 10 Indian-spiced cashews (just cashews, salt, agave, and garam masala and then I dehydrated them and mmmmm), and a few pieces of some halvah I made.

Luckily, I still haven't had any real cravings yet, which is really abnormal for me. Maybe it's the green smoothies or vegetable juices or maybe I'm just really committed and won't even entertain the thought of eating cooked? Maybe the time limited challenge is making this psychologically easier and keeping the cravings away? Whatever it is, I'll take it!

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

hallo!

I spent about 12 hours on the train today, but luckily I packed a few good meals:

.a beautiful salad with dandelion, lettuce, leek, tomato, nasturtium, lemon and green pepper
.kelp noodles with a cinnamon tahini sauce i made
.sushi with a lot of the same salad ingredients in there

Then as i was waiting at a train station for a few hours in Washington, I noticed a GIANT field of blackberries. My fingers and teeth were stained purple all day, and I filled a giant tupperware with them and ate them on the next train ride. I still have some left. Seriously, it was heaven. So ripe!

Then when i finally got home i made a little vegetable curry that was THA BOMB. i totally surprised myself by how good it was.

I even managed to stay raw when my uncle took me and my mom out to dinner. I just sipped on a glass of wine while they ate ethiopian food. Hey, it's raw! and i didn't feel like I was out of the loop at all because i was really enjoying myself and they could see that.

Then at home there was watermelon, and almond pulp with mylk and agave and some dried cherries. Yes, it was quite a long day and I had a gazillion meals and I feel AWESOME!
