I'm making my first batch of onion bread. Yay me! (You must understand that I'm a total slacker in the kitchen.)

I thought I had broken up the sunflower seeds and flax seeds pretty well. They looked quite ground up to me. When I mixed everything up though, there were quite a few whole flax seeds. Thinking about it, perhaps I should have ground the flax seeds first and then added the larger sunflower seeds. What do y'all think?

By the way, even un-dehydrated, the onion bread tastes yum!

I grind my flax seeds in a coffee grinder. The sunflower seeds in my Vita Mix...hey! YOUR bread doesn't have to be just like the original recipe. Sometimes I like chunks of things...:D

Oh well, there you have it. I used my food processor. I'll have to try the coffee grinder next time. The food processor worked just fine for the sunflower seeds.

Better go clean the coffee grinder ...

Yeah, use the coffee grinder for the flax first.

If you don't want to grind them you can soak them.
