Hi all, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. Thought it was time to introduce myself. My family and I have been vegetarian for 4 years. It took 3 attempts to go completely veggie, but we made it. I am increasing the raw dishes(just got Alissa's book) and we hope to go raw the first of the month. My daughter and I were diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome 11 yrs ago(she was 16) and are basically housebound. I'm looking forward to much improvement with a living diet. Go glad we found you, this is one of the most loving and supportive sites I've come across. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Blessings Earthmama (Phyllis)

Thank you so much for the lovely welcome. I'm really excited about this adventure. Lots to learn, and experience. right now I'm sipping a green smoothie. Who would have thought that green stuff could be so tasty. Blessings Earthmama
Hi Earthmama, Glad you introduced yourself.
As you add raw foods you will begin feeling better. One day you'll be doing something piddling around the house and realize you've been at it for hours.
In that moment of realization you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt why you feel so good. Once you know from experience that raw food has cleaned your body and is where we get the fuel that energizes us you'll never look back.
I go down Hwy 27 once or twice a year on the way to Redland. After your health improves I'd like to meet you and your daughter.

Hi Doe, come on down!!!! Would love to meet you. Thanks for the encouragement. I could really get into hours going by before I realize it. right now, 15 minutes is a challenge some days. I figure it should make life better. I have always felt that if we were going to beat this illness, we would have to do it ourselves. My spirit has always known that food was the way to do it. When I first read of raw foods, it felt right. Now I just have to kick the bread and sugar addictions. AND that compulsion to try and be June Cleaver and fix a big meal at dinner time(it's really hard too, I keep falling off my high heels and loosing my pearls) Hope you are old enough to know who June cleaver is. I've been around a while.LOL. Blessings Earthmama(Phyllis)

Hi Raw Medic, I'm in Davenport, about 15 min from Disney, toward Tampa. We are right off highway 27. Glad to meet ya. This is a wonderful supportive site isn't it? I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone. Are you in the medical field? I was a nurse for 20+ yrs, before my health forced me to retire. Take care. Blessings Earthmama
