I recently ordered and watched the "Eating" DVD by Mike Anderson. My wife and I could not stop watching. Let our adult daughter who has 4 kids watch it, she called her half sister who has two kids to come watch it, they both went grocery shopping today for fruits & veggies and are very interested in getting their kids off the SAD. Between the two they have six kids ranging in age 6mo - 9 years. It is exciting to see these young moms all fired up.

Here is a preview for the movie if you have not seen it. I'm going to be buying several more copies of the DVD to pass out.

My husband wouldn't watch it and covered his ears whenever he passed through the room while it was on. He's a dedicated meat eater though.

I have it and have watched it several times. My daghter and son in law have watched it and without comment got up and gathered their 3 children and walked out. They are still eating meat and not talking about the video.

Oh well. . . .

Yes, this dvd is excellent. I watched it with my mom a few weeks ago and then she and my dad watched it together. They have both cut back on the animal products tremendously since and even did a colon cleanse : )

I looked up that video to see what it was about and I want it really bad. It's not very expensive either.

Oh, how sad. I'd be so sad if that happened to me.

I bought this in hope that it would be something I could let my parents watch (one diabetic and one in breast cancer treatment), but I honestly didn't think it was all that convincing. Not sure if I will let them watch it actually.

My father watched Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days. He was impressed and asked his doctor about it, his doctor said that it can't be done. Sadly he trusts his doctor more.
I don't know how I will convince him to try raw without shoving it down his throat.

Can't he even just TRY it for 30 days? What does he have to lose?

People don't want to know what they don't want to know. IF they know, then they HAVE to do something about it. Many prefer to stay ignorant. Many of us do it in various aspects of our lives. Is what it is. When we're ready to learn, then we'll be open to learning/seeing. Until then... nothing to do but leave others to their otherness and take care of ourselves. Share when possible yet, allow otherness.

My dad is a colon cancer survivor. He's lived his life pretty well, has few regrets. He's a classic meat and potatoes man. loves to have a bourbon ever night, smokes a pipe. Even after his adventure with cancer, refuses to change his lifestyle. Even though he knows that's what's killing him.

His response? The quality of his life is in these, and other things.

So I've come to the conclusion that all I can do is attempt to do the best I can for me and be an example for the people I love. Be available to them and open to the questions they might have for me one day. I have to fix me, first. That alone is difficult enough.

I absolutely agree.

Many times, people do know, but they continue on as they have been anyway. It's easier for them to make excuses than to step outside the box and take control of their own health and well-being. I feel kind of sad for them, but if they truly aren't ready, they won't budge.
