Seems a tad expensive though... £45 GBP ($75 USD)
Looks nice though....but not going to splash out that much cash on a pie....

I wonder what size the 12 slices are...? That would be roughly $6.50USD a serving. I would want a sample before investing in the whole pie. ;)
I've paid $8.95 for a slice of raw chocolate cream pie on several occasions. It was the most amazing raw food I have ever eaten. I would buy more but the chef that makes them moved to Hollywood to feed the big stars. Boo-hoo.
I am going to invest in a bag of Irish moss (carrageenan) and learn to make my own pies. :)

A tad expensive? That's pretty much what I spend on food for two people in a week.
I guess there are some people willing to pay that kind of money for it though. But how many of them would look for it on ebay?

Raw KNit- where were you getting this pie?? Who moved?
Thrive sometimes has this chocolate crunch cake that is seriously the best raw cake I have ever had. I will splurge on a slice but I really just want the recipe=)

I was getting it from Raw Vegan Source in Redmond. They used to have a young woman (5 star chef) that made the entrees and pies they kept in the cooler. I don't remember her name, her company was called something like "goodforliferawfoods". I was told she had big things going on in California. Haven't seen her food at the store since June. So sad to see that empty shelf. :(
I haven't been to Thrive yet.

I saw Monika, the owner of Thrive on Paul Nison's web show. She said she will share her recipes with anyone that wants them. Just email her and ask for it.

Then we had cake from the same gal. I had no idea she moved=(
She was making some of the stuff from the Cafe Gratitude book and boy was it good! Esp the turtle cheesecake.
Thrive has a pastry chef now but its hit n miss. Call ahead to see what they have, and if it sounds good, have them hold it for ya:)

Between this and another thread on cheesecake I was feeling the need to make a raw dessert. Mine is not as impressive as the one on ebay (which I notice didn't sell), but it is delicious. I calculated the ingredients cost no more than $15 for an 8" pie.
I was going to copy this one by using mango with raspberries, but ended up using sweet, dark cherries instead. Pic and recipe is on my blog (http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/blog.php?b=15611).
