3 mile walk.
Was feeling pretty wiped out today so I didn't do much. I got in my 10,000 steps though, 3 miles of which was pretty fast walking.

Started a juice fast two days ago, been getting a lot of good info on this site on how to go about it. Well my fitness goals have also been to sculpt a sixpack, but ive always had difficulity losing body fat on my lower stomach, im hoping that fasting + hittin the gym will solve this. So i guess my goal for August is to continue on fasting, working out at least three times a week, and keeping a positive attitude.
Currently 5'11 weight about 165 Lb's GW: Doesn't Matter

My goals for August are to continue with P90X that I just started 7/30/09 - doing something EVERYDAY & release SOME extra weight in the process - I'd like to be 20 - 25#'s lighter yet for my goal weight of 120 or so - I'm 5'2". The releasing has been very slow - to stand still the past couple months. (Could very well have to do with not being committed to exercise in the past couple months too....)
Saturday - Day 3 P90X - 8/1/09 - Shoulders & Arms - 59min - I'm only using 1# weights this first week when they are needed, just so I can get the hang of everything without having to stop. I liked this one a lot.
Also - P90X - Ab Ripper X -16min - Man this one is tough.... I couldn't properly do 1/2 the exercises - I will get better! If you do the whole thing with them it ends up being something like 339 situps!!
All in good time~

Yesterday was a mile and a half walk. Half of which on an empty pack. The other half of which was coming home with 60 pounds of groceries between my back pack and two carrier bags. Tonight, I'm hitting the pool and the exercise bike.

3 hrs kiteboarding Saturday
Sunday could barely move. Still backpacked 10 miles.
Today, planning to kiteboard at the beach again if my body can deal.
ate about 75% raw this weekend. My metabolism is outta control right now. I am hungry 15 mins after I'm done eating.
Going to take tomorrow off no matter what and get some sleep.

Monday - 8/3/09 - Day 5 P90X - Legs & Back 59min + Ab Ripper X 16min
I have to say that the legs/back workout is my least favorite so far - it's pretty tough - not that the others aren't - this one just more so. I haven't gotten my pull up bar installed yet, so I just used some light weights to mimick the same motion they were doing......I am SOOOOOO sore today - my entire body feels it -

I've been absolutely terrible at getting to my workouts. I love what callanetics does for my body and yet I don't seem to get myself doing it. Was interested in the pure barre posted above and googled it. Seems pretty awesome as well.
Would be very grateful to hear how you get yourselves to start and stick with any workout.
Thanks :)

Have finished some amazing travel in Asia and a big cross country trip through America this summer.Have done pretty well staying with excercise and mostly eating well.
Now in the midst of a major move with my family, (back to Calif).
I am making my new Aug goal for this month 3x's weekly the "mountain stairs" They'll be more and more hiking and tredmill running as we settle and kids are back in school. Just have to have a schedule with accountable fitness goals for 'mom' amongst the daily moving chores!
Nice to see the thread still active.Appreciate it.

Friday - 8/7/09 - Today I did 2 P90X workouts - to make up for missing one on Wed.
P90X - Day 6 workout - Kenpo X - 58 mins. - I liked this one, but I'm not so corrdinated when it comes to the combo arm moves.
and
P90X - Day 7 workout - X Stretch - 57 mins. - Nice stretch :o
I figured I could "handle" the 2nd workout today with it being a stretching session - :p
Tomorrow I start my 2nd week of the P90X Lean series - so far I'm really enjoying it & sweating my booty off!

Is 90x the one on the tv info commercials? Do people seriously transform into cut muscular bodies in a short period? If so, hows it going?
Good luck!!!

Hi Care4raw~
Yes, P90X is off the infomercial from TV - although I got mine off ebay. I've looked on websites & youtube @ people's results and found them AMAZING! You can really tell the one's who've "Brought It" compared to those who didn't. I am only in my 2nd week doing it & I tell you I'm a completely drenched when I am done everytime (except X Stretch) - so it's a nice change from the workouts I was doing at the gym - just walking on the treadmill, reading my book. I have a hard time challenging myself, so this program works very well for me - even though I may not be able to do everything they are, I still try to do better each day.....
That being said....I was planning on working out before I went to a Raw get together this afternoon, but ran out of time this morning & now I'm pleasantly stuffed & don't have any motivation left for the 1hr 15min workout I was supposed to do today.....
Depending on how I feel tomorrow I may do a double workout, but I'm not sure I can handle 2hrs 45min.....we'll see......

Thanks for filling me in Monkapotapus!I have always enjoyed weight lifting because the results are so good!I think Alissa Cohen is a longterm weight lifter too! Its been awhile since i 'pumped the iron' though.
Please keep me informed of your results anytime, i would love to eventually be focused enough to add something dramatic and beneficial like this to my routine.I thought the info commercial looked too good to believe (cynical me) but its great to hear its actually not!Awesome!
Cheering you on from Cali...

& Ab Ripper X - 16min
I am having the hardest time this week wanting to exercise! I thought it would be soooo easy, since I've been off since last Friday, but noooo - I feel like I just want to be a bum on the computer all day
I've really had to force myself to just do it & within 20min or so I start to feel better....on the other hand....I have to push more because I know I have another 40-70min left depending on the workout for the day....
Now that I'm done, I'm glad I did it~

Great HiKes!! Grnd was soft enough to do a bit of running on one...hoping to run most hikes eventually , watching my knees.
The running i do now is mostly on the treadmill as its got bounce and softens the impact on my knees.

Saturday - 8/15/09 - It was the option of either a "rest" day, or X stretch....I ended up going with a "rest" day....
Sunday - 8/16/09 - P90X - Core Synergestics - I literally had to kick my butt to do this today - I don't know what my problem is lately....maybe the novelty is wearing off.....maybe it's because I know I need an hour or more.....Well, I just NEED to GET OVER IT & DO IT!!!
I know I'm already getting stronger & I can do more of the workout moves - even though I have an inflammed elbow tendon still - it sometimes put the kabosh on the reps of arm moves.
This is the start of week 3.

Monday - 8/17/09 - P90X - Cardio X - 43min.
I was soooooo excited to see 43mins for the length of time for today's workout - it was almost like getting out of school early or something! :p
I really "brought it" today - it felt good & I'm dripping with sweat & exhausted.....in a good way~

Tuesday - 8/18/09 - Taught/did my 60min yoga class
I think not doing the P90X workout on the same days as I teach yoga works out good for me - it's like an extra recovery day, so I have enough energy/motivation to continue with the P90X workout the next day.....so it will be more like P120X....or something...:p

Friday & Sat - didn't workout....and a confession.....I ate a SAD meal for the first time since 12/31/08 on Sat. night at a wedding.....I also ate another SAD meal last night & now I feel like CRAP :(
Sunday - 8/23/09 - A half hearted attempt at P90X Shoulders/Arms & only 1/2 of Ab Ripper X - my phone wouldn't stop ringing! I barely worked up a sweat....
This week is going to be difficult to get exercise in today & Wed. - my parents are out of town & I have to go after work to take care of their cats - the live on the other side of town - by time I get home to start a workout - I wouldn't get done until 9:30 & then try to eat?? I don't know, we'll see.

A fresh start.
I had a total of 3 cooked meals from Sat 8/22 - Mon 8/24 (first time since Dec. of last year)- I almost decided to include them back into my diet, but in just those 3 meals I saw my body react so unfavorably: Sinuses stuffed back up, puffy face, dark circles under my eyes, waking up with a bunch of gunk in my eyes, a complete drain on my energy & bad moods setting in - not to mention #'s coming back on so quickly!......so, when I woke up yesterday morning I said to myself "NO MORE" - I just cannot eat cooked food. So, I won't!
I also decided that I'm going to restart my P90X & do it right - EVERYDAY.
The last 2 weeks have gotten away from me & next week would be my "recovery" week, but I just don't feel like I put my all into it - so I will restart on Friday. It's going to be tough to get up early on Tues/Thurs morning to get my workout in, but I will have to just do it because I teach yoga at night and there's not enough time in between getting done with work & going to teach to get the other workouts in. It's called P90X for a reason....although I was trying to get away with calling it P120X, or so
So, here's to recommitting!!
Who's with me???
and....
Where is everybody???
