Any suggestions? I live in the Houston, Tx area and would prefer someone face to face--though I guess phone consultations would be okay, too.
How much one should expect to pay for a phone consult or appointment?

Depends on the quality of the coach; the years they've been in practice; the training, etc. I'm available if interested.

What does a raw food coach do, exactly?
Thick -- I don't really have a ton of time right now, but I do stuff like this on request. I charge $35 an hour and pay the long distance. I keep hearing I'm undercharging for what I'm apparently "worth", but I just don't feel like something like this should be out of most people's reach! You can email me if you're interested, to see if we can work something out with your schedule and mine. Sounds like you've got plenty of options for whatever works best for you, in any case. :)
T-Bird -- A raw food coach helps you really in a lot of the way this forum does, but it's not a free for all exactly. Someone else who has been through it (the coach) focuses on exactly where you are and helps you figure out the best way to do things or get through issues for you, based on their experience. For example, dealing with spousal issues, kids, organization, what to have in a day, what to keep on hand, how to make raw much easier. It really depends on the situation. Could cover so many different details.
Most people could use one but fumble around for awhile instead, dealing with a lot of hassle that could have been prevented. I've had several coaches on my own journey, in person and by phone. It's been on so many different subjects. And (FOR ME), I have no idea just what I'd be doing if it weren't for them!
