Well my Montel Health Master bit the dust today, I only got about 4 weeks use out of it. At first the LED display went out, no big deal I can run it w/o the pretty light. Today it just stopped for no apparent reason. The pitcher is like welded to the base and I cannot get it off.
I called and they wanted to send me a new one but I ask for a refund, that I hope I get within a month.
Vita Mix will have a display at the state fair starting next week so I'm just going to run donw and pick one up from them.
I was just watching a VM demo at Costco a couple days ago. I want to say they were selling it for $395, she said that was over $100 cheaper than you could get it anywhere online. This was the latest model.
I love watching those demos! (Even though I'm a BT owner - heehee) *Ü*

As I understand it you Vita-Mix has a medical program, where they will sell it to you cheaper than retail, I was told $285. You would need to have a prescription and purchase directly from them.
Can anyone verify this?
I unfortunately paid Costco prices and also bought the dry mill for it, worth every penny!!!

I believe Costco price is the cheapest for both VM and BT(unless you have that medical coupon). I bought my BT from Costco and it's worth every penny! :)

Just checked Costco online and they only offered the $649. set, same price as buying from VM. Think I will wait till next week and go watch a demo at the state fair and see if they offer any special deals. I'm buying, deal or not.

i think most people don't use their blenders much. and their warrenty isn't for long.
anyone with a short warrenty with a year or less is good enough reason to avoid it if it costs over 40 bucks.
but i'm glad i saw these threads so i know to avoid purchasing their blenders.

I bought mine at Costco and paid $395. Got the 5200 model, DVD, cookbook and users guide. Paid tax but no shipping. Got the dry mix container for $95 plus tax but not shipping. I love my Vita-Mix!!:)
