How do you figure out what percentage raw your diet is? This is day 2 that i am serious about doing raw, but I drink iced coffee in the morning, and then I also add some hemp milk to my green smoothies. Some of the dressings I eat are also NOT raw, but everything else in my diet is. Today I had 2 green smoothies (mostly spinach, added a banana and strawberries + the hempmilk), 3 apples, a peach, zucchini "pasta" with veggies and NOT raw peanut sauce, coffee (obviously not raw), and then a larabar. So how RAW would you consider this? In the future I plan on decreasing the amount of cooked foods I consume, but I can't give up my coffee just yet and I really enjoy peanut sauce.

What percentage raw do you consider yourself and how much + what cooked foods do you eat typically in a day?

it really doesn't matter what percentage you are... what is important is what you want to consume and that you 'own' it. there is no ONE right answer here.

i'm probably 99% raw ... give or take depending on the situation. many days i'm 100% - i really don't worry about it though.

Have you purchased Alissa's Book, Living on Live Food, to the Left of this Page. In her Book she take you through ALL points of RAW. It has Testimonies, Recipes, Food Charts, and even Menues to keep it Simple. You can also read excerts from the Book online. You can also purchase a DVD with her making RAW Dishes.

I don't know how raw you are...percentage wise. But you are definitely in the high percentile. Between 95 and 99%/ *shrugs*

I’m trying to be 100% raw. But I know that sometimes I might have something that isn’t raw (like the Vitamin Water I drank today). *shrugs*

Personally I wouldn’t worry about the percentage. As someone already said, there really isn’t a right or wrong way to go raw. There’s only right and wrong FOR YOU. And only you can say what it is.

I hope that made sense. Lol

*hugs*

I joined Rawfood talk Nov. 2007, and I have been up and down raw. I keep falling off the wagon. Right now I'm trying to crawl back on the wagon and hang on tight.:p

Right now you are in Transition. You need to give yourself time. Don't try to figure out what percentage you are, it just puts pressure on yourself.

It's not even a consideration for me and, we don't talk about what cooked foods we eat here. That's not the point of this forum. It's to encourage the eating of more and more raw foods. Simple, ya?

Exactly why I come here. :)

The more I read & interact on this forum, the more raw food I want to eat.

thanks for all your replies. You are right, i shouldn't focus on percentage...i tend to get obsessed with numbers (i have OCD). I plan on posting on this board way more often because I really like the advice everyone gives + i love the community here. Thanks again.
