Hello ALL, new and old raw friends..
Last year I went 100% raw in May. This year in May I wasn't raw at all if I was it was a piece of fruit occasionally.

Ever since quitting raw I have gained back almost ALL of the 80lbs I lost as well as having break out SKIN, painful periods again, energy 0% now, among other things. Its interesting how well my body was doing on raw when I was raw.
I want to get back to doing raw 100% although I didn't eat GS I did eat all fruit/vegs and greens salads mostly and simple eating patterns. Mono eating as well when I was raw helped me a lot. :D
I have had a lot of emotional issues and depression/anxiety that I want to get rid of by doing the raw diet. I have heard that it helps with stress so I would like to try again. It is SO very hard to make that transition again to raw. I just hope that I can do it again for my body and mind.
It was funny how my carnivorous family even encouraged me to go back on raw again b/c they seen an improvement in me during the time when I was eating raw. :)
Well, I hope that I can make that transition very soon and 100% will help me this time.
I have read and know a lot about raw but I still have questions. I want to do a fast or a cleanse. Master cleanse in particular.. Do you HAVE to do the senna tea/salt water in addition to drinking the lemonade or can you just drink the lemonade and be OK ?
I have had nothing but disasters with the GS. I guess I have to start slowly adding some greens in with my fruity smoothies. It's just hard.
I'm also going to look at this website again everyday like I used to. This website is encouragement as well.

There's a fasting section here on the boards. You might want to check there.

I've done the Master Cleanse a few times. The tea/salt water thing isn't too bad, you just need to make sure you have some time to stay *very* close to a bathroom in the morning. That might mean re-adjusting your schedule to getting up early enough to do that before you go one with your day. That's what I did. Otherwise, life went on as usual.

Good luck with your success with raw. You know you can do it, you've done it before - just take good care of yourself.

Welcome back! I just joined this forum but Ive been back and forth on Raw too. In 2003 I lost 32 lbs in 2.5 months on raw, the fell off track and gained maybe 7 lbs, then when back on raw in 2004, losing 20 lbs for a total of 45 lbs lost, then slipped up again, gained those 20 back, went on raw AGAIN in 2005, (for about 4 months but with scheduled 2 days binges LOL, I wouldn't recommend that) and lost about 30, for a grand total of 54 lbs lost. Then I went off track again and gained all of that back, plus another 27 lbs!!! I've since gone on Weight Watchers to lose 61-62 lbs, but still have another 20-30 to go. I don't feel nearly as good on WW as I did on raw. But yes it is hard, and I'm nervous and doubting myself about starting again. So I understand! I'm starting raw tomorrow for a 100 day challenge/commitment. This will be my 7th attempt so you're not alone! Good Luck!

VeganForLife: Yep, never really gone!

:)
I am glad to be back. I think I am going to start a Master Cleanse soon though. I want to lose a lot of weight quick while its still summertime and clear up my skin.
I am wondering if I HAVE to use the tea/salt water flush while doing the master cleanse though? I'm going to check on it..
