I had my favorite smoothie for breakfast. Cocao, almond milk, banana, and strawberries. I love this combo, so yummy!

Thinking I will have the rest of my Kale salad for lunch.

I'm moving all day today. I sold my house (yes!!!) but have 25 days to move (oh s*&^!!) and..of course they can back out anytime all the way until the day we sign the closing papers--and I have to be 100% out that day..the day that might not happen..sigh--

I'm just pushing forward with all the moving..If I do a little at a time it will be easier. For today I am taking almost all of my kids toys/playroom stuff to my mom's. She babysits anyway and it will be nice to go visit their toys instead of having them all locked up under other boxes in storage.

So there ya go Kidkid--and I think it's a great idea to get close on this thread. Even though all of cyberspace is also getting close, too=p

Today I'm planning--
spinach and banana green smoothie
walnut banana cocoa honey vanilla blender ice cream (for my friend who is helping me move and rawcurious)
guacamole and fresh salsa eaten with the hard romaine heart pieces I'm going to smuggle into Chuy's
dinner salad at chuy's with the salsa as dressing

I am way too spontaneous to follow a plan I'm afraid--but it does help to take a mental inventory of what's available to me--but I might just have the smoothie and then eat watermelon, oranges and pecans and more smoothies all day=p

Thanks for listening!=)

What an amazing second day!!
I went to the beach! Never have been there for... I don't know... something like ten years. And even if I am fat and horrible, I put on my bathing suit and I swam and I sunbathed! And I loved every minute of it!!
And I stayed raw. Even if my friends had spaghetti, friggione (a cooked and oiled mix of bell pepper, tomato and onion; it's a regional italian recipe) and fish. I am very proud of myself!
But tomorrow will be the real challenge: During the working days it's difficult for me to prepare something good. Actually, I think is just a psichological thing. You know, something like "I don't have much time... I'd prefere to buy something already fixed than do it by myself..." And so on... Just excuses (is it the right word??).
Anyway, yesterday and today we have joked. Tomorrow is going to be serious. See you all out there.
Have a nice evening.

Hey, I've had to re-register as I couldn't recover my password (was rawtango).
Anyway, day 2 has been a little hard, headachy, dealing with 13 month old running amok! Still, I've stayed 100% so far. Eating citrus and bananas today, some avo. Hope to make a large salad tonight.

Keep going everyone, even if you hit the wall of irritability!

Hi Everybody,

I had some challenges today as I went to a family gathering and they ordered out for food. I made a salad and ate that while they ate, and probably would have been satisfied with it if I didn't see/smell other food. But I made it through.

I've been really emotional today and having the feeling that there's not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished. Hopefully I'll be in a better space tomorrow!

Food for the day was some E3Live, a banana-mango smoothie, salad with avocado, jalapeno stuffed olives and raw sauerkraut, and some watermelon and cantaloupe. I'm not sure about dinner yet but it will probably be a smoothie.

Hope you are all having a good day!

A little late, but tomorrow will be my first day of 100% raw. I have never even done a full day raw no less a month. We'll see how it goes.

Stayed raw, even amidst the food pushers. I just said, thank you but eating raw makes me feel good. I also said, I dont think there's anything unhealthy about your food, but when I eat certain things I have an almost allergic reaction and overeat, but don't worry this salad is really, really good.

(it wasn't really, just a house salad at Chili's with avacado, pinkish tomatoes and pico de gallo--but I stayed raw and the feeling of pride was way more satisfying than any cooked food)

Then I came home and ate an apple and an avocado.=)

See, I told you I cant stick to a plan-- but I did stay raw=)

yesterday I ended up just finishing off the raw, soaked aduki beans for dinner

today -

B - water (that's what my body wanted after all of those beans!)
L - fruit smoothie; mango, peach, banana, apple
S - Go Raw's simple (soaked and dehydrated, salt free) sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds
D - awesome spicy cole slaw I invented (handful of soaked walnuts, half a ripe serrano chili, half a pink lady apple, 1/4 of a sweet onion, small clove of garlic, splash of ACV - put all in BlendTec and liquefy, then pour over thinly sliced cabbage. Add a couple dashes of sea salt to release the water in the cabbage, stir all together and enjoy!)
Dsrt - Medjool dates

It sounds like everyone is doing great! I had a good day; no detox symptoms yet. I felt less tired than normal. My back in hurting a bit though, I don't know if that's detox or not (just started today). I wasn't too hungry today, at least compared to how I normally am, when I'm constantly snacking or even binging. I 'uncooked' for about 4 hours today! I made the stuff I had for dinner and also some almond Mediterranean bread, which is dehydrating. I halved the recipe because I haven't had good luck with making breads.

Today I had:

B/L - fairly large salad with spinach/field mix, mushrooms, olives, cherry tomatoes, walnuts, grapes, raising, and onion, with ginger-miso dressing

S- a few kale chips and a dried fig (WOW! I've never had a fig before and I loved it!)

D - romaine leaf stuffed with nacho cheeze, taco nut meat, guacamole, salsa, some broccoli sprouts, a few mushrooms and a few olives (this was REALLY filling!).

I'll probably have some figs, dates, cherries, or something like that.

Long day....stuck with the plan good. Trying not to eat after dark. Big salad about 5:30 pm and hope that will keep hunger pangs at bay, and lots of water. I am so hoping I don't go through the detox I went through in January. That was so bad.

Feeling like a bit of an airhead right now, and somewhat despondent. But I know after a week I'm going to feel great.

Everyone has such great ideas on here, I like reading what everyone ate as I don't have much of an imagination when it comes to that.

B - 3 plums

L - a nectarine while i made lunch, which was half a huge salad with spinach, zucchini, cucumber, onion, fennel, brewers yeast, for dressing blended up walnuts olive oil honey and Bragg apple cider vinegar.

D - the other half of the salad. Some orange as well.

I'm going to try not to eat after dark as well. We'll see how that goes! I'll try to just drink water every time I feel hungry-ish.

We're in the middle of a heat wave here and I spent the day in the hot sun at the Pride Parade. Stopped at a little market and bought bananas, blueberries and a bag of raw mixed seeds, raisins and nuts. And lots and lots of water!
my day:
Watermelon
Blueberries, banana, and a few handfuls of the seeds/raisins, nuts
Kale chips - loving these!
Salad for dinner: tomatos, corn, avo, cilantro and lime - yummy
Peach pie

Hello, everyone. Thick, your housing situations sounds very stressful. I hope it works out for you.
I worked my 10-hour shift at the jail this morning and had some great food. I always make sure I take good food to work as my job is stressful and I don't want to deal with cravings as well!
B: Sipped on a large green smoothie all morning. My usual, of kale, banana, pumpkin seed, and coconut oil. Daughter, who is allergic to bananas, is back from camp so I will have to stop the bananas tomorrow!
L: One piece of pesto and caramelized onion pizza, veggies with more pesto (I REALLY love pesto, a recent discovery), and a couple of strawberries.
Snack: Apple Pie Lara Bar
Supper: Really wasn't hungry after just a few bites of mushrooms with, you guessed it, pesto. Picked up my Azure Standard order today, including 2 boxes of organic nectarines. Had one and it was divine.

It was! The caramelized part was a marinade of dates and tamari. Mix in the thinly sliced onions and dehydrate till soft. The recipe is here. (http://therawchefblog.com/pesto-caramelised-onion-pizza/comment-page-1)

Hi Everyone!
I've been raw (again) since last week (tuesday?) but today, officially day two of this exciting new challenge went emmm okay for me. I am tired so I'm making sure I eat enough these first few days into transition. I remember from past forays into raw that if I get tired (from detox I believe) and allow myself to get low on raw choices in the house it is harder to get up and go to the store for greens and bananas than to make a SAD choice.
I'm haveing two green smoothies a day this time, they really fill AND satisfy me for a long time + fruit in between + salad at dinner with my family that I serve to them with whatever else they are eating. It works for me. When I first went raw Ibought a dehydrator but I lack the patience to do too much with it. This wk I might try one of Alissa's awesome pies, I remember loving those and making them wsn't too hard. Drinking LOTS of water, rebounding, doing Yoga to stay stretched and resting a lot right now. That's my game plan.
H.W. 182
S.W. 164 (loss was due to raw detox last fall)
C.W. 159
G.W. 130 (I'm already there)
Other goals (to radiate health like all the beautiful "after" pics do that I've been viewing for insipiration, to feel energized, to smile all the time, to really experience this moment, now this moment, now this...)
