Vitamix operation question ...

I've just gotten a vitamix (YAY!!!!), and have a question on it. If it's not situated correctly on the base, does it tend to make a really loud, funky noise? I've had it happen twice with smoothies; I try to get it on there right, but I have a feeling that I'm not. I'm just hoping there's not a problem with it, that the problem is just me. :)

I have no idea. Seems to sit on the base w/ no problem. Did you get it new? Might be that something is loose underneath. It should be quite steady and no, no really loud funky noise ~ although it's not exactly quiet.
