Just talked with a poor old gentleman who has all kinds of health problems, told him how good I have been doing with my RA since I gave up meat and dairy. He would like to try and eat better, only problem is he has few to no teeth! He said he hasn't had a salad in years because he has no way to grind up the greens. He has been eating just soft foods for years. What would you recommend to someone in this condition?

Green smoothies! He can get ALL his nutrients, minerals, vitamins, etc. this way!

Tell him to get checked out by a holistic dentist. He probably has festering jawbone cavitations poisoning him.

smoothies, fresh juices, blended melon, nutmilks...
I'd be surprised if he hadn't thought of any of the options, they are all so easy!
All he'd need to do is invest in a blender or juicer...

There are a lot of veggies that can be softened for easier eating. Zucchini pasta for one. Even if he had to cut it into smaller sizes, he could still probably manage that. If he can eat regular pasta, he can eat that.
Hummus is another soft food, but not everyone eats that (unlike spaghetti which is pretty universal now). It would help if he could find foods that are more culturally similar to what he is used to.
Ask him if he can handle cole slaw.
