I would like to lose weight (in a healthy way) and also give my body a break from a lot of different foods that I have been eating (SAD foods).
I am wondering if it would be safe to consume ONLY green smoothies for about a week? Is it nourishing enough for my body? (well I know it is INCREDIBLY nutritious, but I do worry about it being enough food and keeping me satisfied).
Has anyone lived 100% on green smoothie for an extended period of time? I do worry about losing muscle mass because I would only be consuming greens and fruits (no nuts or seeds)... now, If I only do it for one week, then I know it doesn't matter. I am asking about muscle mass because I wonder what it would be like to go longer (maybe a month) on mostly green smoothies.
I have been doing one green smoothie a day (on most days) for a while now and I love how they make me feel.. I want to experiment with 100% green smoothies and see what happens but I do feel a bit nervous- nervous that I will have too many cravings and not be satisfied. I eat fairly healthy (for SAD food), with the exception of a nightly sugar habit :( I REALLY want to kick this and believe that 100% green smoothies for a week up to a month might help me with this.
I would appreciate any info someone could give. Is 100% green smoothies a healthy and sustainable way to lose weight? Is there anything I should add to my diet? Thank you in advance.
