Hello! My name is Belle and I am new to preparing raw foods.

There has been a change of focus for me. Concentrating on all the things the lab results say is wrong with my body and how serious the situation has been really dragged me down and made me even more sick. So I decided to change my focus to enjoying the journey.

I have found that focus on my Faith and choosing to enjoy the journey has strengthened me to try new things...rawfoods and gluten free cooking. I joined here because I want to learn even more about raw foods cooking with others who enjoy this way of putting life into their bodies.

I am curious. What simple recipes did you start out with? What benefits/changes have you seen in your health since eating more raw foods?

Savor the journey, Belle

I started out with Green Smoothies. Here's my favorite GS video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eXr8-jru1KE)and the one that "started it all". You may like to watch all her videos, they're very informative. *Ü*

Congratulations on making such a wise choice with RAW. You can learn much from this Forum. Also Check out Alissa's Book, Living on Live Food to the Left of this page. It is a detailed Guide to going RAW and Lots of Recipes. You will also be able to watch excerts of her Video and Read a portion of the Book.

I wish you everything you need to Stay RAW..........Welcome to MY World.

I too was going to mention that Alissa's book and DVD were the best thing I did when I started out.

Yes, Alissa's book. Yes, Matt Amundsen's book. Ani Phyo's book is quite simple as well. I am in the beginning stages myself and now that I learned a few simple recipes, I am getting more confidence in preparation. What is so wonderful is you can SEE things being prepared on YOU TUBE. Some really good videos on there for raw food prep (ok, some goofy stuff too!) but most are good.
