Hi,

I haven't been around in a long time. Been a crazy year. I went off raw, obviously, but that hasn't stopped me from trying to incorporate it back into my life. So even thought I haven't been posting, I'm still determined to go (and stay) raw.

Most of the time, it's not a matter of wanting junk food or cooked food, but rather, the lack of convenience of the raw food lifestyle. I hate chopping and peeling. I'd rather fold laundry all day, lol. So that's a big issue. Oh, if only all produce was as convenient as the banana!

Anyway, I got really heavy again, almost to 300 pounds! But I lost all the pregnancy weight, and then some, thanks to raw. I had gotten as low as 263 when I made the mistake in early July of going shopping while hungry. I really needed to eat, and ended up getting some "traditional" 4th of July fare, which led right back to two weeks of bad eating.

Now I'm raw again, and back down to 269. My first mini-goal of 250 is in sight! But more importantly, I'm eating healthy and feeling better, and feeding my family right.

So, now that I'm back, I searched for the old "Obese Raw Foodists" threads, and couldn't find them. They're still there, as I found them by googling them, but they must be too old to search for within the forum. So I'm wondering if any of the old posters to those threads are still active, and how you're doing...?

I'm a bit newer than that, but welcome back!

I'm waiting on my body to finish doing whatever it is doing 'behind the scenes' so it will get back to weight loss mode. I'm sitting here, feeling like being raw is just not that wonderful (though I know that it is), since I'm not losing any weight.

You can cry on my shoulder, if I can cry on yours, then we'll push and shove and pull each other the right direction, okay? :p

No weight loss? That's such a bummer. But there are so many other great benefits. And I'm reminded of those benefits everytime I find myself stuck out running errands and give in and get cooked food...the pain...oh the pain!! Every bit of back pain, foot pain, etc. comes right back with a vengeance! So I want to be raw regardless of weight loss...but I'd be lying if I didn't say that seeing the scale go down is a big motivation! ;-)

Oh, I just noticed your signature...you've had great weight loss! Plateus stink, but you've done great already. 56 pounds is awesome! How long did it take to lose that much?

Remember, you've never 'failed', you've just taken a break from succeeding!

Hope everyone who needs to lose weight gets to their goal weight happily and healthily! :D
