Hi raw darlings,

Emmanuelle from Europe calling in!
I live all over Europe, so it is hard to pinpoint where exactly I am from or where I wish to be!

A little introduction...
During my teens I have suffered from a severe eating disorder (anorexia), and overcame this, but for years on I kept struggling with food and weight, which caused me to by unhappy for years. I have been interested in raw foods for a few years now, and have lived raw for short periods, but this time I would like to keep it up longer, and really make it my main diet.
I am sure many of you are familiar with David Wolfe, he mentioned how the human mind rebells against the word NO, which is something we tell ourselves when we swear off other foods completely, and so in a way it is a set up to disbalance and rebellion. So while I do believe in the raw life style, I agree with him that we are all human, so eating 80, or even 90% raw is a honourable goal. But this is just my take on it, and thus my goal :)

Although of course there are days I eat mainly raw, and why not, it is just healthy to keep options open, if only for your mind.

I have been living vegan for years now, so I am familiar with healthy lifestyles ;)

I am excited about this forum, and hope to meet many likeminded people and to inspire each other would be just lovely!

See you around the forums!

not sure how long youve been working towards raw , im 4 years in / 15 years vegan for ethical reasons , but heres a little simple list i just posted in another thread in case it helps :

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
imo dark greens are a key staple . theyre providing :
A / CALCIUM / IRON / FIBER
then citrus for C
nuts / seeds for protein / fat , include sun seed or almond for E
the B's are tricky for me , i include aloto mushrooms . and also suppliment
with non raw NUTRITIONAL YEAST . and also experiment with soaked wheat seeds for its B
and BANANAS + AVACADOS are an always
and here in the berrie season gorging on
blueberrie/strawberrie/etc
cuz i know theres something good in them :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi Emmanuelle. Welcome.
You are doing well and I hope that you keep it up. You may find (like I did) that while I did not at first intend to go 100% it just happened. As I ate raw I did not want cooked.
