Miagraines when Going Raw

I'm trying to stick to raw eating, but each time I do I experience these massive miagraines. I try to drink more water, and that helps a little but the problem still persists.

Any suggestions? :confused:

Hi BellaLaDonna and welcome to the board!

What you're experiencing is quite common - I went through it too in the beginning. Now, many are opposed to this, but what helped ME was to do enemas. After doing a couple of enemas and cleaning out the bowel, my headaches would usually disappear almost instantly!

I'm sure you'll get other helpful suggestions, but just wanted to share what has always worked for me.

I get migraines when starting raw too,,,,so sad that I have had to go through this so many times... Seems I would learn to just stay raw!!!

I REALLY think bowel movements help. I actually experienced(while going through a session of colon hydrotherapy) waking up with a massive migraine.. thought I was going to die!! I was holding my head and thinking that as soon as I was done I was going to take some tylenol cause I just couldnt handle how bad it was.. Amazing,, as soon as I was done with BM my headache was instantly gone..Went back to bed to wake up my hubby and share my incredible experience.....So I can see how ememas would definitely help.

Usually the headaches only last for a day or so for me. But when on SAD,, I get really bad migraines anyways, so going through it for one day while detoxing is worth it.

Jamie you really got me going... :D ...I'm just imagining waking my dh up from a sound sleep, telling him that I just took a dump which relieved my migraine! :eek: :D :p

Well it was a very enlightening experience and I just had to share!!!! :) He didn't mind, but quickly went back to sleep.
