does anyone know if these are truely nature real or is it some lab created avocado? i'm not having any luck finding out on the net yet.

i saw some for the first time recently and had to have one. they are big but the seed is really BIG! lol i thought it was a score for avocado meat until the seed just kept getting bigger and bigger as i continued to try to scoop the flesh out. it tastes practicaly identical to the florida ones.

I just bought one a few days ago and thought it was pretty bad. Even more watery than other Florida ones - I could have juiced it, haha. I don't think it's chemicals making it red. That would be too expensive to apply to each fruit or tree repeatedly. THey were probably able to breed in that ability from a mutation? Otherwise, they are a GMO I guess which might be worse than chemicals. Fortunately I didn't like them and also found the pit to be too big to merit the cost of the avocado as well.

yes.. more watery and i didn't really care for it... less favorable than the florida ones to which i don't care for either. i gave the other half away to someone who loves the florida kind. i was a bit surprised it only cost 2 bucks.

yeah... whatever it is it didn't seem "real" to me and while i ate it was thinking i'm eating chemicals. reminded me of the purple and orange califlower.

thanks for the link. they didn't have it on there... i'm wondering if i was misinformed.. someone told me there are like 50 or 100 kinds of avocados out there growing on trees.

this leads me to wonder how many real avocado species are there and which ones? i saw this on that link you shared...
