Husband home from biz trip and agreed to join me 30 days RAW starting last night with dinner! I'm so happy! But, he complains... A LOT and did when he went vegan with me too. Camila, the wonder dog (3 yo Golden Retr.) went 70% raw last night too!

Hubby will have raw fish and the ocassional raw meat as well to keep him quiet, then after 30 days I'd like to integrate a cooked food/treat day for both. Can Seedy or anyone else practicing this fill me in on the maitenance benefits/downside(s)?

B- watermelon smoothie, lemon water
S- green smoothie with pineapple
L- salad with sunflower seeds
S- cashews and grawnola
D- raw food cafe dinner and raw choco bar for dessert!

Be well everyone!

PS- take the 8Q RAW food survey I created: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=9pqtKxU2KKYs7z8Py_2fyBXw_3d_3d

Long day at work today with a major headache. I got it after I went to the gym, and I think that I worked out too hard (running/sprint intervals for 40 minutes) and am not eating enough to sustain it. I didn't prepare any of my usual pies/ice cream this weekend and I definitely feel a difference. I won't have time to really make anything until Friday night so I will be noshing on nuts this week.

Here's my food for the day:

- E3 Live
- Smoothie with pineapple, cherries, blueberries, coconut oil
- Salad with avocado
- Raw sauerkraut
- Blueberries and raspberries
- Chia fresca
- Banana
- Coconut water

Katchmoleen - I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. :( I hope you are feeling better today and that you are doing OK.

katchmoleen – I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. What a terrible day for you with feeling sick on top of it. HUGS!!

hilarya_m - I think Seedy was referring to preparing a large amount of raw food recipes when mentioning ‘cooking’. I’m sure Seedy will correct me if I’m wrong but that was what I understood when I read the post.

I’ll give you my two cents about eating cooked now and then. For me personally if I have a very small amount of healthy cooked food for maybe one meal (occasionally), I am usually fine (as long as I get back on track with the raw food). But if I do it too much or if I eat junk, my symptoms start coming back. Like so many things, it’s different for everyone. I've heard some people comment that if they have cooked they tend to fall off the wagon so they stay away from it. I have cooked food occasionally for convenience or to satisfy a craving without too much of a problem and I am finding that the longer I stay raw, the more I find I don't like many of the cooked foods as much as I used to (YEAH!). Ideally 100% raw is the best way to go, it is very healing.

16 oz smoothie with hemp seed milk, honey, and frozen blackberries
Blueberries with Alissa’s pineapple nut cream
Cherries
Salad with grape tomatoes, mung bean sprouts, green onions, radish, shredded carrots and red cabbage, snow peas, and dulse dressing
Tomato with Alissa’s Almost Tuna
16 oz peach papaya mango juice
60 oz water total

Hi, everyone, thanks for the well wishes. My stomach is completely back to normal, but I am still very sad, find myself breaking into tears at the slightest thought. I tried to use the energy to get some major cleaning done and that helped.
B: Plate of walnut basil pesto with zucchini noodles.
L: Green smoothie of kale, banana, almonds, and coconut oil
S: So far just some cucumber salad with raw mayo, dill, and pepper, two bowls of it. Don't know if I will have anything else. Not much appetite today.
