hey everyone! i am again starting a juice fast/feast...i have done several small ones in the past couple of weeks. i was wondering is it actually harmful to juice non-organic?? i am not sure how long i will go but i do have a very VERY important job interview on Monday so i think i may break it before then so i am not thinking of food during the interview...but i will listen to my intuition...is that what you guys normally do when planning how long to fast?

i buy whatever i can organic but otherwise i juice non-organic. i don't worry about it to be honest. that said... there are some things i won't juice (or eat) unless they are organic...

strawberries, grapes are two which come to mind.

when i fast for a long time... i just go for it. there are always things coming up... fasting isn't just about relaxing and meditating all the time (unfortunately). when there's an event... i take LOTS of juice with me. waaaaaay more than i need. otherwise i just choose my social situations carefully.

(This information is from a government agency I think)

Twelve "cleanest non-organic foods"
Avocados, Onions, Cauliflower,
Brussel Sprouts, Grapes (domestic only), Bananas, Plums,
Green Onions, Watermelon, Broccoli,
Sweet Potatoes, Corn
(However, corn and sweet potatoes
are among those foods most likely to have been genetically modified.)

Tweleve "RISKIEST foods
strawberries, bell peppers, spinach, cherries, peaches, Mexican cantaloupe, celery, apples, apricots, green beans, imported grapes, cucumbers

(From Another Source)
Buy organically grown: apples, peaches, spinach, bell peppers, celery, imported grapes, nectarines, pears, potatoes, red raspberries, strawberries, cherries.
Buy conventionally grown: Asparagus, avocado, bananas, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet corn, kiwi, mangoes, onions, papaya, pineapple, sweet peas

Well, I read somewhere, that most pesticides stick to the pulp in juicing.I hope it is true.
