Has anyone made Alissa's peach pie?

I did, and made NUMEROUS mistakes!! I still ate it, though!

First mistake, the processor didn't grind the almonds "fine". It only made them course, like rock salt. I thought this was okay, yet when I went to add the dates, it just didn't blend well at ALL. It was never smooth. I used it anyway....

Secondly, after processing the peaches until smooth, it was runny! There was no way to "slice" it..... Any recommendations? It tasted fine. I just spooned the concoction into a bowl and walla! Would like to try the blueberry one as well, but after that disaster, I am a little skiddish. Also, the price of almonds, ack!!! These recipes are not for the cheap at heart.... I kind of miss that aspect of SAD foods..... Weak, I know, but true....

Sorry for your mishap - since I do not have the recipe in front of me - I can not assist you. However, I do recommend the blueberry pie, it is sliceable and everyone, even my most staunch SAD food lovers, love this pie. It is all that!

I put the pie in the freezer so it firms up.

The blueberry pie is sooooooo good! I love it for breakfast. It sets really well and is easily sliced.. Just the filling in a bowl is divine also. :p

Maybe next time you could try adding some psyllium powder and let it set in the fridge- that should help firm it up.

Mmmm...I have a box of blueberries in my fridge right now, what a great idea!
