I keep slipping off and on the raw foods eating, this is making me so MAD  . Could it be that i just jump into raw eating too fast and not just take it little by little. I really want to have a raw food diet. It can be so frustrating to prepare meals due to work and studies. does anyone have ant tips, advice, recipies (for transistional until I fully learning how to sprout and dehydrate in order to prepare meals)  . I want to make my transition an success :D

First of all, stop beating yourself up about it. If you keep doing that you are placing way more stress on yourself than you should be, and you may never be successful. I am six weeks raw and just started dehydrating. I really have not sprouted much as of yet either. Some people can jump right in with both feet - I was able to do this. Others cannot.

If you have a little cash, order Alissa's DVD on preparing some of the food. This is a quick way to introduce yourself to it. You would be amazed how easy and fast much of it is if you have the right equipment. You need at least a food processor and a blender. Many people just eat very simply too. Lots of different kinds of fruit and salads. Carrots, celery, raisins to munch on. Stuff like that.

The real question would be, do you think you are really ready to do this now? It is a physical, mental, and spiritual commitment. That means you need some time to focus. With work and study commitments maybe your doing the best you can for now. Be at peace with that until you can find some time to research the way you would really like to.

I am not trying to discourage you, only making you think realistically about this given your time commitments. Maybe just try to fix one recipie a week? Set a goal with something like that. And, relax!

when I first started, in order not to starve until I learn to make the recipes, I kept taking bags of uncut fresh fruit and vegies to work, and ate that. Guess what, it stayed that way! After two years, I still take bags of fruit to work and eat it when hungry. In the evening I make salads. Actually, I realized that those bags of goodies really helped me to transition to raw foods!

All the best,
Gosia.
