i made a berry and cinnamon bread without dehydrating :D and it has great results next time ill take a picture
basically i blended lots of oats and flax to powder
picked some wild blackberries
started adding spring water to the powder and cinnamon which eventually made it dough like. then i squashed the blackberries into juice and blended abit more oat flour. then i added the berries to the dough it was all sticky so i threw on the rest of the dry powder and formed a loaf after 10 minutes it was no longer sticky i quickly but gently lifted the underneath and floured that last part to so it wouldn't stick to the plate i prepared it on. then i put it in the fridge over night and in the morning voila delicious bread :D it sliced like it. wasn't moist in the center either it had really firmed up . so now im going to make that famous onion bread and i can finally make pancakes the same way again wooo :D .
it was so simple i thought of it when i was eating my powdered oats and warm water with cinnamon and honey and noticed how it firmed up really quickly. i guess i can make cakes liek this to and make crusts with nuts ill experiment this week on the savoury bread and maybe since it's nice eather here ill also put the bread out in the sun. this makes me realise how jesus may have made his breads without cooking

thx sweetgoddess :D still can't believe how easy it was
You can make a wonderful carrot cake in the refrigerator. Shame on me, I didn't write it down.
OK, took hazelnuts (that's what I had, was trying to find some way to use them) ground them, added carrots and raisins, a little cinnamon, and a teaspoon of psyllium powder. Processed that fairly smooth. Put it in a oiled pan and refrigerated. Everyone that tried it loved it.
If you used oats instead of nuts the psyllium wouldn't be needed. (A friend gave it to me a year ago and I figured it would be nice to make something with it and give her some.)
So the moral is.......if you have things that aren't being used.......make up a great recipe.......Right?

what put a smile on my face was putting zucchini slices marinated in garlic and lemon with rosemarry in the sun for day. and they went as crispy as crisps. i wonder if they are still raw since it is natural heating

To my knowledge, sun-dried is not only considered raw by the standards of not depleting the enzymes, it is optimal, as the sun is filled with its own life-force and contributes that to the life-force of whole nature grown foods.
I am curious as to what state you live in? A hot one? It is so cold here, high in the rockies, where I live in Montana, we have had to turn the heat on a few times this week. I wonder if sun drying would even work.
Those zuchinni chips sound so good. Do you cover your drying stuff so flies dont get on them, or is that not a problem?
Hey, how about a pic of your stuff drying in the sun? lol
Ok, now I am curious.

Gracious. If you could do that in the UK, I should be able to do it here! When I lived in Ontario ,Canada, I went over to London and could not believe how much colder it was in the UK, than in the land of snow. Damp.
I found your weather quite similar to Washington States. So, this is good to know.
I am going to try it! Yeah! Love new creative projects :) Thank you.

your welcome. yer it get's pretty warm here these days in the summer can reach near 40 degree's when theres a heat wave but yer i think it works because if you think of someone tanning it's the rays not the actual heat which browns you but yer the suns heat helps also
have fun good luck! :)

OT - blech, tell me about it! It's cold and cloudy here in Colorado Springs. We share the same mountains - must share the same weather!
That bread sounds divine! I will definately try it. I notice when I make oats it gets so hard I end up tossing it. What a great idea to make the loaf of bread.

From someone who has been sweltering in the heat this entire summer, I don't wanna hear it! :p With the heat index, the temps have been between 100 and 118 here!! So put on a sweater and can it. LMAO!!! :D
I am going to try this bread too. It sounds so simple! That's for me! :D
Autumn, there are times after the afternoon rain that the steam coming off the grass is truly unbearable. Can't imagine what it is like on pavement. Guess we'll continue to live, whether in the cold north or sweltering south. Wish we could equal it all out to a happy medium.
