hey raw friends.
it's been awhile since i've been here- been travelling the world!
I'm currently in toronto where I've discovered a place called 'Live' that does the most amazing raw 'steak & potatoes', and raw tacos...but anyway, I'm back in LA soon, after 3 months away, and i can't wait to have my own kitchen again.
My confusion is this: I have a vitamix 5200 which I love, but when making certain things, like nut butters, it all seems to get stuck below the blades, and is a nightmare to get out, and I frequently end up wasting quite alot of it.
When i was i London, staying at my brother's house, I purchased a cheap Kenwood S blade processor which seemed to do a great job, and I've noticed in alot of my raw cook books, they use a blender and processor.
I'm pretty sure Alissa does too, tho I've just bought the DVD and book, so i'm not 100% sure
when i bought the vitamix- the sales pitch suggested I wouldn't need anything else, so I'm a little confused.
I've just bought a solostar II juicer- wondering if i need an s blade processor too.
what do u guys think?

I use my 7 cup Cuisinart a lot. After researching the threads here (do a banana search for food processor) I decided it would meet my needs. The Cuisinart has a metal S blade, not plastic like some of the cheaper models. It also comes with a slicing disc and a grating disc. I use them all for chopping slaws, grinding nuts, making pie crusts and other desserts. I used all three blades today making a batch of apple cookies. Many of the things I use the fp for are recipes that need dehydrating; cookies, crackers, and corn tortillas.

I would say YES! Once you get back to L.A. you may have to make your own raw tacos. Corn tortillas, walnut taco meat, salsa, and guac in the fp, chedda sauce and cashew sour cream in the Vitamix.
