Every now and then I notice a spate of posts from people asking when they will see the benefits of a switch to the raw food lifestyle.
Most of the time the changes they've made to a raw food lifestyle have only occured in the last couple of weeks, sometimes even days!
I think it's really important to understand that years, often DECADES of crap foods and toxic environments will take TIME for the body to heal from.
The body is an amazing machine, it can heal the most dire conditions and help us to feel on top of the world, but again, these things do not happen overnight, or in weeks, sometimes not even in months.
Ask yourself, of all the instant 'healing' that modern medicine provides for us, how much of this is actually healing? E.g. Taking a pill to stop a headache has almost an immediate result, but it's simply a masking of the symptoms, not an addressing of the problems.
True healing takes time, it's as simple as that.
Try to step away from the world of instant results and instant gratification we've built up around us and look at your health and wellbeing from a fresh perspective.
Nobody has 'failed' on a raw food lifestyle by not seeing results in the first few days or weeks, they've just not altered their mindset to accept that sometimes we need to wait for deep healing, complete physical turnaround and a significant change in our whole lives.
Just thought I'd share..
Try not to see the good that comes with eating raw food through the goggles of 'insta life'.
Take care. :)
