So, I have been 100% raw or close to it for a few weeks now and have notice some weight loss and other changes in my body, but when I look in the mirror I'm still so far from where I want to be. How long did it take those of you who have been raw for awhile to have a body "breakthrough" meaning you looked in the mirror and saw a major difference, or something similar to that? I'm just curious. :)

I couldn't speak for you, but I would say six weeks is when other people start to go "whoa" and you really start to notice. Some things you notice every day, obviously. :)

Every body's body is different. For me it took like 5 months. If there is one thing I've learned its that no one can tell you when you will make changes in your body. If your body is healing from anything give it time b/c it is hard @ work fixing other issues....if not, then it may not take as long. Hang in there!!!!

Mentally, it only took a couple of days for me to feel the difference.

Physically, it was about 3 weeks before I could see visible changes.

But we always need to remind ourselves that we are so used to 'quick fixes' that we forget that true, healing and stable change takes time.

We are like children wanting everything now now now! It's sometimes only when we finally see those massive beneficial changes that we realise 'wow, of course our bodies needed time for such a massive shift in physiology!'.

Hang in there, you WILL begin to see benefits!

As always, "your mileage may vary" depending on what health situations you've got going on, how bad your previous diet was, as well as age. I'd say in general, the older one is, the longer it might take before one really sees anything on the surface. But rest assured, if you are sticking with the program, good things are happening quietly under the surface - like systems getting cleaned out, cholesterol going down, blood sugar stabilizing, and a whole host of other things that might need to be attended to before one notices a glow in the skin, or a tighter shape. For someone who is very young who has led a fairly clean life before going raw, that glow can come on pretty soon, and weight being easily released. For the rest of us, it might be months. I know I didn't lose a thing until 3 months in, and that's when a first detox hit. There have been other smaller detox things along the way too, so it's all good. Klomasius is correct about being patient, not an easy thing to do in our instant gratification culture, but real change DOES take time. In the meantime, keep on RAWKING!
