Hi everyone.. I'm hoping it's alright if I join in on this support group. I've been raw since July 5, just a few days behind you guys! I spent a week at a cottage with 8 other women (including raw food coach, Tera Warner of therawdivas.com) and we did a whole week of raw food. This Sunday was the 8th day raw, and I decided to run with it when I returned home. At first I said I was just going to do another week.. but I'm having some fantastic changes, and I was looking for a group to help me meet my new goal of one month! It looks like you all are writing your daily meals, I have no had anything yet, but I will be sure to return tonight and discuss my daily fare. Right now the smell of apple cookies in the dehydrator is getting me excited!!

Hey welcome! It's cool to see a new person here! Yeah, i feel like most people come on just to post up what their meals were really quick, but I really love it when people come on to discuss their raw journey and how they are feeling and what their lives are like now that they are getting healthier! That cottage retreat sounds awesome. what kinds of stuff did you eat?

Hi Everybody,

I survived my headache and feel GREAT today! I felt really focused all day and my new thing for the day was that I decided to drive to the wildlife refuge at lunch to read a book. Very relaxing!

Here's what I've eaten today:

- E3 Live
- Acai Cheezecake (it is sooooo good!)
- Green smoothie with banana, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, coconut oil, chocolate ice kream, and Blue Manna
- Grapes
- Peas from the pod
- Raw sauerkraut
- Raw trail mix
- More E3 Live

Not sure about dinner yet. I went to the store after work and bought everything I need for more watermelon soup. I am thinking about having another smoothie tonight to keep it light.

Have a great night! :)

It was an amazing experience and I feel so fortunate to have been a part of it. Each of us came into it for a different reason, one lady suffers from a plethora of diseases and in the few days that we were together she was having bowel movements everyday, and this is someone that was a twice a week at most kinda thing. One day she was giddy after her fourth, and after 5 days of raw she was making plans to buy a dehydrator.. it was amazing. Another woman that was with us was actually in the middle of a 92 day juice feast, so she was just there to offer guidance and advice since she's been raw for over two years.

What kind of stuff did we eat? Well the lady that was doing the juice feast had an excessive amount of pulp so we make a stupid amount of crackers. We had buckwheat goji granola and pumpkin seed milk for breakfast, lots of green smoothies and juices. Tons of salads, lots of experimenting with dressings, a few different desserts, some chocolate cakes, blueberry crumble, lemon cheesecake with raspberry sauce (my piece of work), pasta, pizza, wraps, carrot croquettes with sauce, and on our last night, lasagna.. it was incredible.

Anyway, my body has begun to get on a normal schedule and I feel asleep immediately after watching a movie last night instead of coming here to post my daily meal plan...

it was a wierd day for food...
I work in a health food store, so along with several stalks of celery dipped in cilantro pesto, we've got a bunch of raw food snacky samples.... and some are awful. When I got home I made a salad in a popcorn bowl, cause I make big ones. I put in fresh herb mix, cucumber, carrots, sprouts, hemp seed, and cilantro pesto as a dressing ( i've been eating the stuff like crazy lately as I got a bunch free at the beginning of the week). My apple cookies finished dehydrating so I had two big ones and that was about it for the day..

Thanks for welcoming me to this support group! I think I'm going to need this soon! :)

Hello, everyone, I had company last night so did not get on to post till today. It was also payday so I was able to replenish my empty larder. I have upped my grocery budget by $200/month but I managed to spend it all. :( But the good news is I visited a little fruit market way on the other end of town and found out it has fruit in season for half the price of the grocery stores! cherries were only $1.10 a pound and peaches for 69 cents! So I really loaded up on the cherries as they are usually an extravagant treat here, but now they are cheaper than apples!
B: Green smoothie of kale, bananas, and almonds, with cinnamon.
L: Cherry pie lara bar, a few cherries
S: A delicious meal of zucchini pasta with walnut pesto sauce. marinated mushrooms, a big garden salad of romaine, tomatoes, green and red peppers, cucumbers, and snow peas, with vinaigrette. A tiny piece of watermelon for dessert.

I'm at work right now and feeling pretty good.
