Oh figs! I hate them dried and mummified--but fresh they are the most extravagant summertime affair.
I am so grateful that they have been cultivated!
When you get to the place where you are so grateful to the universe for providing such a wonderful raw natural food--it becomes so easy...I was never as grateful for any cooked concotion.
I feel as if I am closer to the universe by eating raw foods--as if I am being nursed by its' natural food, bonding in a new love --born again into welcoming arms..=)
plant figs!=)

the brown turkey kind are the ones I like=) they are dark purple--and try more than one as some are much sweeter than others.

I love figs... Absolutely!
Whenever we go to the produce market, if they have figs, I 'reward' myself by buying a basket or two (those little pint baskets), then I get to EAT THEM ALL!!! :p
I wish we could have a fig tree where we live. Alas, it is not possible.

alas...i have never had a fig.
but, if i were to become what i eat i would become a cantaloupe. juicy, cold, full of seeds with a musky shell, fragrant--with a dash of salt and pepper. bliss. :)

Hmmm, start with
organic apple juice
figs
strawberries
ice
and a Vita Mix
Now that's a smoothie!

Oh, I am definitely becoming either a peach or a blueberry lately - I'm eating them constantly since they are in season!

Ms. Fig...I have a Green Fig Tree and they are just beginning to ripen and I am on a Juice Fast which will end the end of the Month. I found the First ripe one and have it in the Fridge waiting. I would be a Fruit Basket because I can't really make a Choice.
