Not sure if this is the right place for this but I had to rave!!*L*
I am on day #6 100% raw and I feel soooooo incredible!! It's so strange and cool, I feel emotionally lighter and as if a mantle of peacefulness had been draped over me.
30 years ago when I was in college I did a juice fast for a time...organic apples and oranges were the only types of organic produce you could get.
I had a copy of Survival Into the 21st Century that I cherished...but time when on and I really fell away from that.
Right now I feel like this is so much a part of a very natural progression.
A friend asked me the other night HOW i could posible eat that way, wasn't it hard?? The funny thing is it doesn't feel hard at all...it feels very right.
Just learning something new as far as food prep skills.
I found a place that sells young coconuts and opened my first one last night...not too bad once you know the trick~ *s* Drinking a smoothie w/ orange juice, mango, peach and coconut meat and water........mmnnnnnnnnn.....my husband was gone this weekend so it was great to learn and read and focus on myself. He eats fruit loops for breakfast ok, if that gives you any indication of his eating style...I am not going to try and convert him but will just be an example and see what time brings~
Just wanted to say thanks for the forum....I am learning so much and am very encouraged by reading your posts and experiences~

Thank you for posting your joy and success in your six days raw. It is wonderful to hear. Isn't it amazing how quickly our bodies, minds, spirits and emotions respond to 100% raw. For me at about 3 and 1/2 months it just keeps getting better. yahoo! :D

I have been called corny a time or two ;) , but GlimR you're post put this song through my head, and so I share it with you as a gift of celebration!

A Whole New World~ from "Alladin"
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride

A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming

A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Now I'm in a whole new world with you

Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky

A whole new world
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see
Hold your breath - it gets better
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be

A whole new world
Every turn a surprise
With new horizons to pursue
Every moment red-letter
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you

A whole new world
That's where we'll be
A thrilling chase
A wondrous place
For you and me

Thank you for the poetry sweetgoddess! I love uplifting poetry.

Hmmm funny thing about your comment dragonfist70. I started walking inside and out without my shoes on. I am actually "feeling" the ground for the first time since I was a kid. What happens to us when we get older? Why do we supress the simple things? Why does everything have to be so complicated? Sorry... kind of in a deep thinking mood today.

Congratulations on your 6 days of eating only raw and living foods, glimR. It is, indeed, a high. I'm so glad you're enjoying young coconuts; they're a particular love of mine. Welcome to this wonderous world of heightened awareness and truly conscious living.

Thank you guys so much for your great posts...sorry to be so slow in responding, I've been running like a maniac. This does feel so good.......funny thing is today I am exhausted~
I made the rawvioles today...ate some for lunch...the whole rest of the day I felt so full and heavy...I guess it's the heaviest thing I have eaten in the past week........I have stayed 100% raw and have not been tempted to eat anything else. I still felt so weighted down that I didn't eat dinner tonight.....just had some fresh orange/grapefruit juice which tasted great.
It's funny, I have NEVER been a meal skipper...felt good to hear what my body was saying and more importantly to listen....ok........will go blab the rest in my journal.

Thanks again...this forum and all the great folks here are making this journey such a wonderful one...sweet dreams~
