I haven't tried this but I have been thinking that if I took ground mustard seed and added water I would get something like chinese mustard. Then I was thinking that I could and some type of sweetener... But I'm not really sure if I would know how to counteract the heat factor. Anyway hope this helps a little. Did you do a search on the banana up top? What are you thinking about putting it on?
Peace and Blessings

When trying to make condiments in a raw version, oftentimes I've just taken a look at what's on the bottle of the non-raw version, noted the ingredients and make it accordingly.
Most bottles of mustard contain:
vinegar (distilled, but you could use apple cider vinegar)
water
mustard seed (or powder)
salt
tumeric
paprika
garlic powder
spice (who knows what "spice" - maybe some cayenne if you like it spicy/hot!)
Only thing is, you don't have exact measurements. So I just get a little bit of each and play around with it. I made some pretty good ketchup/barbeque sauce once from using what was on the back of a bottle ;)
