Does anyone know anything about this?
Is it supposed to be better than Agave? The one I found is Organic and Raw.
Trying to find something to replace the Agave and it be a liquid.
Thanks
Cathy

I use it sparingly, mostly in special drinks and desserts, because it is pricey. It has a stronger flavor than other raw sweeteners, almost like molasses.
D. Wolfe gives it honorable mention in his book on Superfoods. "Use it as you would honey, agave, or maple syrup. It is made from the root of a plant in the sunflower family indigenous to Peru. Stimulates positive colon health, helps with absorption of calcium magnesium, and B vitamins. Regulates friendly intestinal flora. Significant quantities of potassium and antioxidants. World's richest source of fructooligasaccharides (FOS). Has very little effect on blood glucose level. Helps boost immune system in a similar way to aloe vera. Yacon is ideal for detoxification and for low-calorie and low-sugar diets."

Thanks so much RawKnister, that is great info!!
Where did you buy yours? Have you searched on line to see if it's any cheaper?
I am looking for a few things I need to order on-line and would love a good on-line source.
Things I am looking for are..... Raw Green Stevia Powder, Vanilla Bean Powder,
Lucuma, Maca, and the Yacon syrup.
Thanks again!!

You could grow your own...:D

This same company also sells Stevia (http://www.richfarmgarden.com/setupalpha.html) plants and seeds, which I have heard you can grow in a windowsill and pinch off the leaves as needed.

Thanks ALL for Sharing. I bought Cafe Gratitude's Dessert Book today and it has Yacon Syrup ALL the way through it.
