Oh gosh! A slew of things. The first major thing I noticed was my skin. It became alive. You figure our skin is our biggest organ.

Remember - everyBODY is different. Drink water, get up and move, continue eating Raw and just listen and learn your body. It's part of the process. Like Revvell says, "Trust the process". Don't compare.

It DOES work.

I lost weight, like really fast, but I'm also going to the gym nearly every day
and my depression is better, meaning going away
I'm 18

Yeah, I agree with Veganforlife. Every body is different. As long as you are making sure you are eating raw you will start feeling the differences. I recommend having at least one green drink a day if you aren't already. Green, green, green! It really makes a difference. Make sure to post an update on how your doing.

Good luck to you!

THAT exact thing happened.

i was bloated, i gained weight..........

quickly i realized which foods i couldn't combine. that raw garlic would bloat me and that i had to go a very long time with no fruit and absolutely no concentrated sweeteners due to flora imbalances in my gut

now, 3 years later, i eat all the fruit i want no problem, have resolved my over eating habits and KNOW that raw is the way for me

hang in there. even with the bloat my energy, eyes, and heart all transformed very quickly

My body became even more perfect after raw. Even when I went for a period of time without exercise.

When I went raw I felt healthier and had much more enegy. However, I had always eaten a lot of fruits and vegetables and transitioned to high raw over time. This may have helped. Some people just need more transition time because their bodies are different or because they have to release more toxins. Hang in there and you will definitely feel the benefits! :)

As Green Jeanie said, with some of us its the combination of foods etc. It's best to eat as simple as possible, just one or two foods at a time. That way it's easier to figure out what your body reacts to. Google "food combining" to learn which nutrients should not be consumed together.
...and welcome to RAW!:)

hey guys.. i'm just over 2 weeks in and already have been seeing some changes. i went raw because of a chronically bloated belly. in exchange for finally making this change which i have been researching for a few years now, my skin is making some drastic improvements. my bloating belly is much less of an occurence. i've only had pain once, and that was during a stressful situation this past weekend where my insides just started spasms.. it's like everything in my body has a deeper connection and intuition is easier to read... up until a week ago, i thought my large pores were a genetic thing i'd just have to learn to deal with, but they're shrinking! there's sections on my cheeks where the skin is so smooth.. i haven't had a single pimple since i started raw. my sleep routine is on a more normal schedule. i haven't felt lacking in energy at all... i'm so excited to share as changes keep happening!

as for the reason this thread began, i would definitely suggest the food combining... even with raw i'm still getting bloating, but i'm so much more in touch with my body. one of my biggest things is doing mono-meals (single item, fruit, veggies, whatever) as much as possible. fruit for breakfast is key for me, i need the sugar in mornings and it effortlessly passes through an empty system. it might be a good idea to avoid those fruit & nut combo desserts until you learn to read your body. i know there are so many delicious things to eat, but keeping it simple is totally the way to go, and the changes will start coming!

Don't worry about it. Your body is adjusting to a new diet and you will lose weight and feel good really soon if you keep it up!

I'm not constantly bloated anymore. I'm pretty sure I've lost some weight (water/toxins). My eyes are so different, like completely transformed. It was creepy, I was looking in the mirror and it was like I had a flashlight shining out of each eye! There's literally like a light shining out of them- the inner aliveness I guess.

I've only been raw for 19 days though, so I'm really looking forward to more changes.

My eyes became super bright and much more blue. I used to wear blue contacts on TOP of my already dull blue eyes to intensify the color..now I have the color I always wanted naturally. Its amazing. One of the first perks I noticed after going raw.

I have a pic on my new blog I just made, its one of my first posts :)

lost tons of weight, got great skin, looked like a stick...no bloating or harrible detox,...didnt feel the detox. Because i began incorporating more raw foods with my cooked..then did 100%

I agree with some of the responses drink more water...i drink 2 liters a day..Every bod is different don't let it discourage you if by any chance it has :p

My eyes...so much clearer, so much more blue and my skin got glowy and dewey. I'm not just saying that-I was told this. I've also gotten compliments on my hair as well. I've been asked my "secret" haha i honestly never thought it'd happen-i didn't think going raw would alter my eyes or hair or skin like they say but it did so no complaints.
I also experienced insane energy-used to be falling asleep in homeroom but i was dancing around.
As for weight-I gained. I gained because before going raw I was crash dieting so it was weight I needed to gain. Now I'm at a normal weight-but still thin as I've always been. My stomach bloated too, I'm still not sure why but I promise it goes away :)

your body will balance. whenever i go on a smoothie fast, the first few days i'm very bloated. by the end of the week, though, i feel like i get everything out of my system, and am always way lighter than when i began.

are you eating a lot of nuts? for some people, this causes digestion to become sluggish. it may take a bit of time for your digestion to play catch-up and readjust to your new diet. it will be worth it in the end, because it'll become more efficient and comfortable overall.

Thank you for sharing!:D I was actually looking for the photo of you which I thought would should us your blue eyes but didn't see one. It was initially rough for the first month I: 1) broke out in zits like i was a teenager (i am 33), 2) pooped and pooped and pooped..and then pooped somemore (like 6 times per day), 3) because I was also upping my water intake I constantly had to urinate.

But then something miraculous happened
I: 1)no longer had to take iron pills, no anemia 2) could get away with only 3-5 hours of sleep per night and would wake up feeling rested, 3) my skin cleared up and I only had to wear powder 4) my raging period settled down to normal and it no longer felt like someone was standing with their stillettos on my back 4) the 5-10 lbs I would gain and lose during every cycle (i.e. period) stopped happening, my weight stayed even 5) I lost almost 30 lbs 6) people started to ask me what diet I was on and wanted to know more about the raw lifestyle 7) people started to come to me like I was some diet guru 8) my cats no longer wanted to eat what I was eating, and 9) random people at work wanted to try my green or purple smoothies...

i have 13 days 100% raw, i had a little "beer belly" small but its there, its actually been going away on its own , my body all around feels much tighter and looks way better !
i use to drink so much liquids before, it seems that now im never thirsty,
also i find that i have so much extra time, i noticed i used to eat just for the hell of it
even tho i barely have two weeks, i have seen dramatic changes
and i feel better! , idk how long detox takes or when it kicks in
but i havent gotten sick yet, i thought i was gonna be gettin sick alot
not to sure how that works !
well anywayz thats my experiences so far with raw !

I have so much more energy. I'm able to do almost all the things I want to do in a day. I wake up before the alarm goes off and spring up out of bed where I used to hit snooze continuously until I was late for work. I'm still working out the other things - skin is still clearing, weight is falling off... but it is getting easier to live where all I wanted to do is eat and sleep.
