i was just wondering what kind of wheat you folks believe to be the best for wheatgrass?

i was just getting ready to buy some, too!!! lol then it dawned on me... what kind? kamut? (is kamut even wheat?).. wheat berries?... black wheat?..

usually the choice is said to be ' hard wheat seeds ' as opposed to the soft wheat variety . heres a link to an awesome sprouting site ;

ps - i covered my garden in hay a few months ago and the seeds in it have sprouted all over my garden :o (didnt know better , where as straw that ive always used never had seeds) and ive been munching on this grass every day in garden and it tastes great , i chew on a wad for like half hour getting all the juice outta it then spit out the grass fibers . so whatever hay seed is taste good too

i was very sad when i saw i could not get hemp sprouts. LOL :D just kidding!
