All right, I've noticed this twice now - sometimes, when I make green smoothies - and I use perfectly fresh organic produce each time - they have a smell like a sewer!! Is it certain combinations? Both times I've used spinach in them, and they taste lovely but smell completely foul!

Hey! What else are you putting in them?

The one this morning had just mango and lime. I don't remember the previous one though, since it was about two weeks ago ...

I don't know then. Maybe it wasn't a rancid smell, but a smell you are not used to?

In any case? Hold your nose and drink away! LOL! :D:eek:

I have that issue when I put coconut water in mine. It makes it smell rather like vomit to me.

... don't know if I'll ever be using coconut water, then. :D I don't think I could stomach that, holding my nose or not..!

I don't know what the deal is either. I LOVE coconut water on its own and in other things but mixed into a smoothie there's just a weird vomit smell. It tastes good though so I do still use it once in awhile. I prefer OJ though. :D

I wonder if it's all not just some weird chemical reactions between the foods? ;@_@

That's weird because i use mango and lime in my smoothies and it smells like heaven.Lime gives everything it's added to a good smell.

I think hyde is right maybe it was a chemical reaction between the foods.Try the smoothie again but buy a diiferent brand of mango and lime and see if it taste better.

I think it's something about the lime and spinach together, rather than the lime and mango~.
