Out of the mouth of babes

My 6 year old daughter and I was making our Raw Blueberry Pie, and as she was putting the blueberries in, our little yorkie was standing there hoping that some blueberries would fall ;)
Our little yorkie LOVES raw fruits and veggies, even lettuce.
We also have a westie, but he doesn't really care for raw foods too much.
Anyways, some of the blueberries did fall, and the yorkie gobbled them up.
My six year old said.......
"Annie really loves raw foods, but Zac likes that heated up stuff, he's not a raw healthy dog" :D

Whenever I visit my nieces and nephews I spend the whole time playing games with them. They are all aware of my diet and even help me to make smoothies and chocolate mousse.
My 9 year old niece said to me "I think you're so good at playing because you eat so healthy".

Makes me think about a comment my 8 year old son made yesterday.

We were talking about different types of diets that vegans were on (he's vegetarian) and he was shocked to learn that vegans ate chips and veggie burgers and other processed vegan food.

'But your'e my role model for what a vegan eats so I always thought vegans ate healthy stuff, I thought all vegans ate raw food!'

Mind you his step dad eats vegan burgers and cooked stuff but I guess that hadn't occurred to him!

The other night I was peeling some corn on the cob and I asked my 2 year old if he wanted it raw like Mama or cooked like Papa. He said, "no cook!"
