From sepposedly organic soybeans.
I would like to know pro and against, and is it raw? but also, is it healthy even if it isn't raw. I know it listst all those vitamins and good fats on it and such, but how much of that do I really get from soy milk.

I don't eat soy. I think it destroys thyroids and upsets hormones. You can probably find a ton of articles online for and against soy. You just have to do your own research and make your own informed choice. No soy milk you can buy at a store will be raw. It's all cooked. I don't know how to make raw soy milk or if it's even possible.

But I heard that it's different if it's fermented, which I assume soy milk would be...also I heard cooking the beans destroys the anti nutrients. Ugh, tough to make a decision when there is literally 10000 things to confuse you.

Cherry,
Like I said in another of your threads... you need to read Alissa's book. It'll assist you soooo much. (((hugs))) I understand your concerns/confusion, I remember when I first began this journey.
Soy is not good... no matter what the form. Period

I looked it up and it's a no, and the only other raw vegan book is on loan, at another local library. I really want something detailed to read now, I guess it's the internet. What's a realiable internet e book or some kind of starter's manual?

Why do you assume that? It's made from cooked soy beans, then pasteurized to maintain shelf-life by killing all bacteria.
also I heard cooking the beans destroys the anti nutrients.
I don't even know what that means. My question for you is, why are you so focused on soy when there are so many other really good foods for you to eat?
All I know is, when I eat soy, I have hot flashes. I rarely have them otherwise. That tells me soy ~ not good.

What IS a typical dehydrator? You can find cheap round ones or decent ones in various price ranges. Go to Amazon.com and put in "dehydrator" or go to Alissa's site. She sells a better quality one.

I'm not especially focused on soy, I've done a lot of research on other products as well. It's just that if I'm going to cut something out completely, I want to make sure I have a good reason for it.

*shrugs* o.k. although you've started two threads on soy which to me means, you're focused on soy.
So, what is it you think you can receive from soy? You mention protein? Do you know ANYone who's protein deficient? Hard to be when one is eating raw. I figure if it's hard to be protein deficient on SAD or SAC, the, since raw vegans get more nutrients than anyone else, we've got it made.

I'm used to eating cottage cheese and protein shakes
so it's a bit of an adjustment not to worry about that stuff

Soy milk is not fermented. Tamari, tempeh, and miso are fermented soy products, but none of them are raw, even the unpasteurized ones.

You can get all the protein you need from a raw vegan diet.

Also, go to www.thegardendiet.com. They don't look like they're lacking in protein to me.
