Morning all,
I am not sure if it is the raw (I think it is), the fact that I am on vacation, or the beautiful weather here in New England, but I have more energy and feel better than I have in years. My pup and I usually walk four or five miles a day but the last three days I have dropped him home after six miles (he doesn't really want to go home...) and have kept walking. I have done nine miles a day the last three days.

I feel awesome in the morning and can't believe how much energy I have. It's really quite cool. I don't know why I stopped eating raw. Glad to be back.

Good Morning to you all. Sun is shining here in Michigan after what seems like weeks of rain. Hope it holds out for my camping trip later on this week!

B: fruit bowl with sunflower seeds, herbal tea with raw honey
L: apple cole slaw (cole slaw mix, apple, walnuts, raisins, celery seed, ACV, honey)
D: raw corn chowder and leftover kale salad from yesterday
S: I may make a blueberry pie tonight, if not some watermelon

Weighed myself this morning 163 lbs. Down 3 lbs in 5 days :).

Gooood Mornin!

Well, yesterday I stayed about 99% raw...I did have one oops moment, nothing major, I moved on and forgave myself. :D I had to take my sick hubby to the hospital, (he's doing better, just a reeeeally nasty stomach bug). Anyway, being that I took him first thing in the morning, I hadn't eaten since the night before....I was soooo hungry. I went to the vending machine...nothing but crap. (sorry bout that, but its true) Soo, I ate one of my husbands saltine crackers that he had for his upset tum.

Ok, now that my "confession" is done, lol. :D

Today....I am starting things off with some Cinnamon Almond Raisin Biscotti and a cup of herbal tea. The recipe is from Gabriel Cousens, Rainbow Green.

I hope everyone had a great 4th and are having a better 5th. :D

Sorry about your poor hubby being so sick! That really stinks. I am having an ok day. Feeling blah after all the activity yesterday, I think. We have a friend who wants to do fireworks tonight so we will be back for round two,
B: Green smoothie of kale, apples, plums and lemon juice made by my daughter.
L: Leftover corn salad and the stuff I used for the pasta salad yesterday (raw mayo, green peppers, walnuts, marinated mushrooms, olives) on Just Like Ritz crackers. Lucious. Oh and a piece of cake.:D:D Raw of course.
S: will be more leftovers and some watermelon.

Okay. I'm doing a lot better today even though I have terrible allergies right now. I haven't been very hungry so I haven't had a problem with overeating. So far I've only had a green smoothie and a couple of apples. Oh and two olives.
Oh I was very happy cause my husband had a raw lunch today! I've been trying really hard not to push this on him although I've talked about it a lot and today I asked him what he had for lunch and he told me and it was all fruit and a green drink. (A powdered raw green supplement)

Hi Everybody,

I've had a good day so far today... I started off with cucumber-romaine juice this morning, and then had a banana split smoothie. We went to the movies so I brought a Raw Crunch bar, and then had a piece of Pineapple Icebox Dessert when we got back. Tonight I'm going to have zucchini pasta using the radish dip I made yesterday, and then I'll be making more watermelon soup to bring to work tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Wow you gals (guys ) are awesome, I on the other hand failed dismally at Raw for 2 days. Infact I ate more sad than I would not trying to be raw ! I actually had toast, crackers and some stuff on my salad that I decided to just eat and it wasn't even that good. I sit here now that all the company is gone and dh is napping and think maybe I was just tired and did not feel with dealing with a new 100% diet as I was taking care of others needs for two days. Also stressed about afew issues. hmm. I am kicking myself, forgive and start over. ho hum.....

A gentle reminder for you all. We don't discuss it we don't eat 100% raw... we only focus on what you have achieved... not what you haven't.

*not my rule... I just have to enforce it*

Rawfigure,
Not to worry just get back on the horse and ride em again.

My day
I went for a 400 mile motorcycle ride today. I was in a hurry this morning to get out before the killer heat so I started my day with a green drink consisting of water, New Chapter Berry Greens, wheat grass and alfalfa juice powder, hemp seed powder and raw honey. Then I had a bowl of raw granola w/ almond milk and a banana. I brought with me for the day 2 litres of water, one coconut water, one raw kombucha, an apple, grapes, a pear and some strawberries. I showed up at my buddy's house to be greeted with a bacon and egg breakfast which I politely declined and insisted they sit down with me and eat their wondeful breakfast. Then we proceeded to go for our ride around Lake Okeechobee here in Florida. When we arrived in Okeechobee I asked if he was hungry, I remembered this BBQ joint I used to go to and recommended we go there. He ordered the special which was country fried steak with mash potatoes and I asked if they had some romaine lettuce and olive oil which they didn't have so I passed on lunch and insisted that my buddy not mind me not eating and he said he'd get used to it. I sat there and didn't get a craving for any of it in the least. I think I'm way past eating a SAD. I think it's important that someone eating a 100% raw diet have a reason or motivation for it. My reasons are for; health, well being, looking and feeling younger, more energy less fatigue, able to work for another 30 years, get to my proper weight and being 48 years old I want the confidence back in my state of health that I used to have when I ate a vegitarian diet years ago. I don't even want to deal with the typical diseases that most americans have to negociate.
When I got home I had a salad with a load of mangos I cut up and granola w/ almond milk and a banana for an evening snack. A real fun and successful day, every day you arrive home safe after a day of riding is a good day;)

Early this morning, I woke up and puked! Just wasn't feeling well, who knows what the deal was. So the first part of the day was recovery. And then I got so hungry!! So i biked to the grocery store and bought and consumed an entire bunch of bananas -- I was banana ravenous. I ate bananas all day. I feel much better now.

Later in the evening i ventured a salad, but it was only because I had run out of bananas. Oh, and i have some kale from the garden dehydrating for tomorrow that I'm really excited about.

this is my 2nd day in a row that i've made it 100% and I'm extraordinarily delighted.

hey guys,
yesterday (july 4th) i fell of the wagon and had some cooked veggies and few other sad food items. immediately after eating them, i felt extremely nauseous and started itching and breaking out in rashes.

apparently, my body was detoxing harder than even i thought, because today i wake up and feel like i've been hit by a train, ran over by a semi, and have the flu to boot. :(

i want to start a fast tommorrow but i don't know if it's such a good idea given my body's current state. any suggestions?

i'll definitely be staying away from all cooked and sad food, and suggest that you guys do the same.

sorry, thats fine, a new rule from when I was here before. I will go read the rules of the board. :-) it says No discussions of animal products such as dairy, eggs or meat, but it doesn't say we can not discuss if we are struggling ?

This is from the Monthly Challenge rules:

"We want the focus of these monthly challenge threads to be on staying raw and accountability. Therefore, if you have eaten all raw and then slip up and have something cooked, we don’t want you to beat yourself up over it or dwell on it, but this is not space to discuss it. You are more than welcome to document it in your journal/blog or ask for help in the discussion area, but it is not necessary (and not allowed) to discuss your slip-up here in the challenge threads, just get right back on track and keep going!

In the event that you feel you are not quite ready to fully commit to the challenge and you find yourself having slip-ups often, then please join us again during the following month. Of course you are still more than welcome to participate on other parts of the forum, but we would really like to keep this section dedicated to those who are committed to doing 30 days 100% raw."

Not sure why....maybe just to keep these threads shorter and to the point?
