Happy 4th of July everyone!
B: Green smoothie with banana, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, romaine lettuce, flax, hemp and raw wheat germ.
L: Taco salad: raw taco meat with walnuts, sunflower seeds, sundried tomatoes and taco seasoning, lettuce, onions, peppers and fresh salsa
S: Depends on what fruit I bring back from the fruit market today
D: I'm going to try to recreate this really good kale salad I got at the health food store. As I recall it had pumpkin seeds in it.
S: May have some watermelon when i get back from the fireworks.

Ive been following the challenge since march but have a hard time signing on to it every day. I have been raw off and on since then but am now 100% for the last 30 days. im going to try to keep up this month.

happy 4th!
Breakfast: leftover salad that wasn't so great and made me sad -- spoonfull of coconut oil
Snack: strawberry kombucha (thanks GT!), and raspberries from the bush outside
Lunch: I made the breakfast salad WAY BETTER after getting some inspiration at the raw book section at the bookstore -- I marinated some red onion with tomato, olive oil, lemon, garlic, basil, and salt and added it to the salad. much improved.
looking forward to fireworks and some sort of amazing dindin.

Happy Independance Day! Just got back from working at a fireworks stand for 5 hours, a fundraiser for our homeschool sports team. Boy do my feet hurt, as it was very busy.
B: A green smoothie made with kale and apple. This was only my second green smoothie and it was a lot better than the first one! I will stick with this combination for awhile. I am hoping green smoothies will really make a difference in my energy level.
L: portable, at the fireworks stand: Just Like Ritz crackers with guacamole and salsa, cherry tomatoes, plum
Snack: banana smoothie with flax, a few crackers.
Supper: See 4th of July thread for my amazing menu.:D
Just have a moment, my hubby is really sick and needs attention. :D BUT I just wanted to say Happpppy 4th Everyone! And to share what I just had for dinner....one of my favorites. Sooo good.
Ani Phyo's Ginger Almond Pate made into sushi....made with carrot and kale. Usually I like adding cucumber sticks to the sushi but I haven't been to the store in a week...so kale it is. :D
Here's a pic.....ohh and yep, that is a bowlful of jalapenos...what can I say, I am a pepper head. ;)

Happy 4th of July! Here's what I had today:
- Green smoothie with banana, blueberries, cherries, strawberries, coconut butter, Blue Manna and raw chocolate ice cream
- E3Live
- Leftover watermelon soup... was so good I think I will make more tomorrow
- Garden salad with guacamole
- Another green smoothie
- Coconut milk (YUM! :))
I made Ani Phyo's Pineapple Icebox Dessert today and it is chilling in the freezer. The filling is really good! I'll let you know how it is when it's finally done.
I also had a bunch of radishes and some garlic scape and couldn't figure out what to do with them, so I used them in Alissa's onion dip. At first, I did it instead of the onions, but it didn't seem to have much flavor so I folded some in. It tastes better now but not sure I'd make it this way again.
Have a great evening!

B - smoothie with berries, bananas, flax and spinach
S - leftover strawberry pie
L - green salad with radishes, tomatoes, summer squash and alfalfa sprouts; honey lemon dressing
S - *ahem* the last of the strawberry pie
D - raw taco salad; watermelon
Exercise - biked to the park and back towing the kiddos in the trailer
Feeling good here! I'm still craving cooked foods but it's nothing I can't handle. I'm enjoying the clarity, energy, and the fact that I feel lighter already, probably because I don't seem to be retaining as much water.

Today so far: green smoothie for breakfast.
Salad with spinach, cabbage, tomato and onions, some flax crackers, sliced veggies with raw spring cheese
Snacks: too many! dates with raw cacao, apple with banana, raisins, almonds and goji berries, raspberries, a plum...
I'm having a hard time with being raw this time around. I'm still on it, but I'm eating constantly and having a lot of cravings. Last time I did this, it was so easy! Of course I am doing a lot more exercise right now. I rode my bike to work yesterday and went for a bike ride and a walk today.

Didn't get home until late. Spent the afternoon and evening with my in-laws and their friends. Needless to stay I wasn't 100% raw but at least I didn't overdo it like I normally would. Being on this challenge has helped me to restrain myself. I'm only listing what I ate that was raw or at least as close as I could get with what was available.
28 oz smoothie with Tropicana pomegranate blueberry juice, pineapple, blueberries, 2 frozen bananas, kale
raw zucchini lasagna
raw corn salad
corn, tomato, onion, black bean salad
spinach salad
broccoli salad
48 oz water total
