Someone posted recently that they had a good source of bulk heirloom seeds. I can't find the original post (I think it was in a thread that got deleted). If you posted that or if you know of a good source, please let me know.

Thank you!

Google Seed Savers Exchange. There are so many members, some of them must be able to supply bulk quantities.

I also bought some Goose Creek tomato seeds from this person: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130311077763 (it's a rare tomato that was brought over by slaves and handed down from generation to generation)...

here's one that's got 70 different varieties of heirloom fruits & veggies for sale (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=130315506021)

this one's got 22,000 cool climate/fall harvest heirloom vegetable seeds for sale for 70.00 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=200349552991)

there's all kinds of people popping up on ebay all the time. :)

Oh my word girl... you totally rock! Thank you so much for all those sources. For several days dh has been on this kick of we have to buy seeds and stock up... prepare to take care of ourselves. He will be so excited when I send this to him.

no problem! :D

i just realized that some of the ebay auctions i listed are old, so they won't come up, but the sellers still sell stuff on there, if you can look them up. :) i especially like the tomatoseedlady (tabitha) cause she has so much variety. :) there's one that i forgot.. it's sand hill preservation center (http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/) they also sell chickens and stuff like that for people that eat meat (or want fresh meat for their own animals).. they have a HUGE selection of sweet potatoes from all over the world, as well as a lot of specialty/novelty stuff, like toothache plant and wasabi sprouts. :0)

That's a very nice list of heirloom seeds. I love maintaining my garden with these heirloom seeds especially when preserving a gene which is centuries old.. it's really exciting.

Hi! Thanks for sharing. I love to collect heirloom seeds too. Apart from it's uniqueness it's also a good source of income since the price of heirloom seeds is also unique. Nice links!

I know this is an old thread but you can grow your own heirloom seeds once you get started and for those in the UK the Doubleday research people are worth looking at.
