Organic, biodynamic farming: One Man, One Cow, One Planet

I just requested One Man, One Cow, One Planet at Netflix, since they didn't have it (I swear, I have requested like 10 movies that they didn't have. LOL am I really THAT weird?).. They said to check back in a couple of weeks, so hopefully they'll have it by then. Anyway, it's a documentary about how biodynamic farming could save the world, and how it's cheaper and more productive and better for the earth than conventional chemical farming... It also talks about how you get more food from it. It discuses Monsanto and other big chemical companies and their impact on local Indian farmers (some commit suicide, because they can't provide for their families), and talks about their greed and what they're trying to accomplish through controlling the world's seeds.. This guy moves from New Zealand to India, so he could help farmers get started with biodynamic farming and help them make money. It's really touching, because he helps so many people & they are so happy to just be able to send their kids to a decent school and have money for stuff that they need. His methods are now being taught all over India, and it's a nice introduction to biodynamic farming. :) I thought it was really interesting, and I loan my copy out constantly.. That, The Beautiful Truth & Garbage Warrior. Garbage Warrior is available on Netflix right now & I would advise renting it, if you are fortunate enough to have a Netflix account. :)

I just called them and asked them if they would mind getting a movie.. The girl seemed a bit surprised that they didn't have it already. lol But she was helpful. They also have a place on their website where you can fill out a form and request a movie. I have used that form thing for everything except this last one.. Cause I couldn't find the darn thing!

Anywho, hope you like those documentaries. :)

I just watched The Beautiful Truth on Netflix! It was actually hubby that watched it first and I was surprised since it's my job to research these things and tell him! lol

What other movies would you recommend? I'd love to get some more in my queue! Thanks!
