Since back to 100% Raw for 3 days I find I am eating more and maybe overeating raw. I hope this is a reaction to a change in diet or I will gain instead of lose weight ! ;) I am thinking of ditching "recipes" (especially deserts with almonds and dates in them) for a few weeks, as that is what I overeat, not the raw fruit and veggies.
Off for an hour plus on my bike. I am beat from my hard ride yesterday but I am going anyway !

I have been so tired lately. I have no energy, and this is only day three. I guess I am not eating enough raw. I am still going strong though.

Hey All,
I am back for July and am really quite excited. Actually I have been back to raw vegan (always vegan anyway) for the last two weeks and feel awesome! Some random woman told me yesterday that I had the "purest skin." Amazing what not eating toxins can do for you!
Good luck to everyone this month, keep going strong because it is so worth it.

Hi all!!
SEEDY: I would love your recipe for the pina colada chia pudding! I love, love chia seeds! I am getting tired of my pudding that I make....red zinger tea...then soak the seeds, add a packet of stevia, raisins, some chopped granola or crunchy nuts of some kind.....sometimes I even add dried coconut!! This is yummy and I eat it almost every day....so I need a NEW recipe:D
Today's PLAN:
herbal tea
apple
chia pudding
GS
Dinner: will be a large veggie salad because I have lots of garden cucumbers, and some yellow and orange peppers and need to use them.
I am also thinking of making a homemade salsa because a friend sent home some jalepenos from his garden!!! YEAH!
Peace to all!!

[QUOTE=tvillemom;539927]Hi all!!
SEEDY: I would love your recipe for the pina colada chia pudding! I love, love chia seeds!
Recipe (such as it is) was as follows, measurements approximate:
2 tsp chia seeds soaked in 1/2 cup water - set aside to swell.
In blender combine:
1/4 cup soaked almonds
2 soaked dates
1 cup water ( I have a standard blender, a VitaMix might need less water)
blend until smooth
Add 1-2 cups fresh cut pineapple (didn't measure just threw in some chunks)
2 TBS agave nectar
1 tbs vanilla extract
blend again
Pour into bowl. Stir in soaked chia seeks and 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes.
Chill 1 hour.
This was VERY tasty. I had to force myself to put half of it aside for lunch today.

Hi Everybody,
I haven't been here in a while, but wanted to jump in for July! Wendi - it's good to see you are still here! :) I picked up two raw food books today: Ani's Raw Food Desserts by Ani Phyo and Everyday Raw by Matthew Kenney. Has anyone made anything that you liked from either of these? The Pineapple Icebox Dessert in Ani's book looks great and I think I'm going to make that this weekend.
Here's what I had so far today:
- Avocado and tomato with sea salt for breakfast
- Coconut water
- Smoothie with banana, blueberries, strawberries, coconut butter, Blue Manna and greens
- Peas (I love eating them out of the pod)
- Sauerkraut
I made Alissa's watermelon soup for dinner and am just waiting for my hubby to get home so I can have it.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Back for another day and not doing to bad so far. This AM I had green juice. It consisted of kale, green apples and a stick of cinnamon. It is so good! A while after I had an apple and since then have been gorging on watermelon. I can never get enough of it. Good Luck to all of us over the weekend as it can be challenging, if we aren't prepared. But, we all are aren't we?

today is day 1 of juice fasting.
This morning I had kale, celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, and ginger.
This afternoon I had spinach, beet, sweet potato, apple, lemon and ginger.
Both were really large - about 32 oz. so that's all I'm going to have for today. I mixed them both with water too which made them last longer because it was more to drink.
exercise for today - 30 min on treadmill and 30 min in sauna

I had a good day today, felt good and it was PAYDAY, so I went to four stores and bought a suburban-load of veggies to feed my family.
Breakfast: leftover eggplant casserole
Snack: Peachy Almond Smoothie (I went to the only place in town where you can get sugar free smoothies, to look over the sales flyers and put together my grocery list.
Lunch: Tastes Like Ritz Crackers and a plum.
Supper: Large green salad with vinaigrette dressing, some guacamole and homemade salsa and a few crackers.
Now I am getting ready to put together tomorrow's feast. Spending an evening cooking yummy stuff is one of my favorite past times! Look at the 4th of July thread to see what I am going to cook, or not cook actually. The best news of the day.....my 18yo daughter told me she is going to join me doing all raw! YAY!
