View Full Version : Mock Tuna Salad

I made a batch of almond milk a couple of days ago, used a cup or so, and put the rest in the fridge. Well, the door seemed to be too warm and the milk soured into curds. I have made lots of my own Indian paneer before, so I thought I would just do the same with the almond curds.

Drained it, didn't rinse it and mixed it with my favorite seasoned salt. To my amazement, it tasted *exactly* like tuna salad with mayo. Even nonRaw DH thought so as well. So dinner today will be "tuna" salad with chopped Vidalias and celery on some lovely lettuce leaves.

OH! :eek: Just be careful when dealing with fresh foods and them going "sour". It's not fun when one gets a tummy ache!

Thanks for the heads up. We've already eaten about half the batch with no ill effects, but I will definitely take what you're saying under advisement.
