I can only speak from experience, but I love my Juiceman Jr. and am would buy the same model again if something happened to it. It's been around a while and still kicking :) It juices everything I need it to from vegetables to leaves to cilantro. And it was only about $40-50, I can't remember.

I've been looking at one of the Breville models and want to drag my husband to the mall tonight to purchase!
In the meantime? other than fruits... can I juice veggies in a blender?

Wow! That was alot of work!!
Thankyou:) I'm still not convinced though... SOOOO many opinions. I have about $200 to spend and the Breville is looking pretty good.

I have a Breville and I love it! Easy to use, easy to clean and the juice is delicious! Can't ask for more! I got my Breville at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I think it was $149.00. I had a 25% off coupon, so it cost me around $120.00. (Most of the coupons I get from BB and B are usually 20%, but at Christmastime I found one for 25% off.) Have fun with your juicer!

There is a compact Breville at Crate and Barrel that has great reviews as well. Only $80.
I am interested in juicing veggies... greens and carrots with apples, lemon and ginger, all sorts of fruits. I'd like to start some juice fasts too. Drinking an organic banana/strawberry smoothie from my blender right now:)

There's nothing wrong with the Breville. Consider starting simple, and get a real heavy duty one later if you really, really get into it.

I have heard that the Breville is nice because you can get more juice out of it faster but the best juicers would be the green star, which is very expensive. I think it really depends on what you would like to juice. I bought the omega which is about $200.00 and it will juice everything including Wheatgrass, cheaper then green star. I believe the breville will juice greens but I am not sure if it will juice wheatgrass.

I'm thinking that if I can juice everything else but wheatgrass, it's okay. Then I can still go to this great little raw cafe and get my wheatgrass shots... and get out of the house:)

I've owned many juicers, including a Breville. I liked the fact that the shute is large enough to accept a whole medium apple. It's fast, but don't over load it with stuff. The pulp is also still quite wet, especially when you juice greens. It's ok, if you have unlimited funds and don't mind throwing half your produce on the compost pile. I now own an Omega and it's great.

Yup i have a breville bought it pretty recently....
before that i had a pretty cheap juicer but i think now considering the difference in price....my low quality juicer was excellent...
pretty much the same as the breville and like 1/10 the price....
the breville like someone else said the pulp is still pretty wet which annoyes me.....the fact you can put whole fruit in it is cool....the thing i dislike the most about the breville is the fact that it makes so much froth....maybe all high powered juicers do....my last 1 didnt...its like 60% froth then the pulp is wet...and unless you clean the filter after each use you end up gettin pulp in the juice....so i dunno...its decent...but im not sure y everyone loves breville so much 2 be honest....
Oh the quality of the juice is good though...

I was in Walmart and found a cheap Big Mouth Juicer by Hamilton Beach. Had good reviews online. Juices whole oranges with dry pulp! My apple based jiuces were left with wet pulp, but it works like a dream. Easy clean up too. And the $59 price tag was easy to swallow:)

I have a Greenstar and I love it, love it, love it. Granted, this is my first and only juicer, but I got it on the recommendation of someone who is very very experienced with juicing and has used all sorts of juicers. The Greenstar is more expensive but I think it is worth it.
Years ago I wanted to buy a Breville, and almost did, but then I got scared off by lots of negative feedback online about how easily the motor breaks, etc. So I don't know if that's a valid concern or not, but I read enough bad reviews to not buy one.

Thanks!
I may upgrade soon... my cheapie is eating fruits and veggies like crazy! Wet pulp is causing me to spend alot on organic produce. And bananas just get pushed into the waste bin. I love my kale, apple and banana drink!

We just bought jack lalanne's elite juicer. This juicer leaves no liquid at all in the pulp. It costed us about $160 CAN. We have had no issues yet but it's still too early to tell. It does whole fruits and veggies. A large lemon or a whole apple so far gave us no issues and as a bonus I can make almond and rice milk in it without having to strain

For what it's worth - I've seen Jack LaLanne's juicer at our Costco for $89.99. I don't know if it's this model though.. *Ü*

I hate to be a naysayer but if you have ever had juice from a masticating juicer you wouldn't even consider a centrifugal one no matter what the cost. My OMEGA 8003 was being repaired and I missed my juice so much I bought a sub $100 machine. I used it about twice and couldn't even bring myself to use it again. The juice is soooooooo much better in a masticating juicer you cannot even imagine if you haven't tasted the difference. Do yourself a favor and eat the raw fruit and save your money for a GOOD juicer. The Omega was $279 Canadian so I expect its a lot less in USD. Seriously even dried up old oranges give great tasting juice in my OMEGA.

I love my Omega 8006 for 262$ includding shipping from dimondhealth.com .A lot of money, but it leaves pulp dryer even than a Champion, pretty easy to clean and quiet- I can make my juice at 5a.m. without worries of waking anyone up.Although when I juice celery and carrot, I can actually hear chewing sounds.

that's why a greenstar or champion pay for themselves very quickly. you use way less produce with them!!!
here's my 'review (http://aleeshasrawlife.blogspot.com/2009/04/greenstar-juicer-vs-champion-juicer.html)' on these two bad boys LOL

hello
i come across a juicer product page from Taiwan.
Made in Korea

Do you think this product should be similar to what brand(s) in design and features?

The Breville is almost identical to the Jack LaLanne, which I have. Yes, these centrifugal juicers are speedy and efficient at apples and carrots, but quite wasteful with greens and they cannot do wheatgrass.
You can do them all with a Samson for about $229. Although, you won't be able to put half a large apple or three carrots in at a time because you have to cut them up, you can also do wheatgrass at the same time, or add a bunch of other greens. My kids will actually drink wheatgrass/other green juices if I throw a few apples/carrots in at the same time.
The only time I'd recommend one of the centrifugal juicers with the large convenient feed tubes is IF you already have a Vita-Mix or Blendtec, because you can then do wheatgrass/other greens in them and squeeze them through a nut-milk bag or fine juicer. THEN they're handy to crank out the pulp-free fruit juice..
LOL, I have all three and am able to do whichever suits the purpose.
HTH, not bragging!!, but since I've experienced them all, thought this might help.
