I quit smoking. I used to smoke about half a pack every day. The past year I smoked very rarely, but I'm vowing now for the first time never to smoke again. So first off, I wanted to post this thread in order to affirm that SMOKING IS OFFICIALLY BEHIND ME! :)

now that I have put it officially behind me, I really want to help my body eliminate these horrible, deadly toxins I have been putting in it for the past four years. Any thoughts are much appreciated!

like I just posted on another thread - make yourself sweat......epsom salt bath, sauna, running, and drink lots of water and juices/smoothies.

You have already done the best thing you could do and that is you've stopped putting any more smoking toxins into your body. Doing that is a HUGE start, eat good, exercise and get good rest, then as you get the smoking farther behind you eat even more raw foods. Just eating raw food is cleansing in and of itself.....going on a particular cleanse speeds up the process by quickly cleansing in a short time but the raw food diet cleanses your body daily, each and every day. It's incredible that you've stopped smoking, it's the best thing you could have done for your health and the health of those around you that you love. CONGRATS!!!

Your body will instantly start clearing out toxins because they've ceased coming in daily from cigarettes... depends on how healthy you are overall with how long it takes. Make sure you're eating a variety of water rich fruits, veggies, greens, get fresh air, sunlight, sleep, relaxation, exercise. Set yourself up for success and your body will detox at a rate that is maneageable and you should be great. :)

You might want to add wheatgrass juice or at least liquid chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is an amazing detoxifier. Wheatgrass is about 70% chlorophyll and has a lot of other nutritional benefits but getting wheatgrass juice does take some work on your part (finding a place that sells it pre-grown, growing it yourself, and juicing it fresh yourself). You might also want to look into a supplement that increases oxygen supply to get some of those toxins in your lungs clear. You can research Ed McCabbe on the benefits of oxygen. He is the author of the book, Flood Your Body With Oxygen.
