I work in health insurance and we are at the critical point in the year so everyone is staying back till 10pm.
Note I said a health insurance company.. they are feeding us dinner, which is lovely, but what do they give us?
Cheese covered meat pizzas with fizzy sugary drinks...
I'm sure there will be a time when this will be looked upon as just a little stupid.
Sigh.... eating my packet of greens by the handfull, they are really delish actually!

They are NOT in the Business of Making you Well....Then there would be NO Claims made and they would be out of Business.
Maybe next time you should put in for a "Special Order" as soon as you know you have to Work. You know what they say about the "Squeaky Wheel".

Haha! I've already tried to put in my order for tomorrow, I said what about a fruit plate, or a plain salad without dressing. They said they'd see what they could do.
The squeaky wheel sometimes just gets the brush off, but it's worth a try, LOL.

It's so sad to see the food in hospitals. It's almost like they want you to die to get you out of there and the next person in.

I honestly think that hospital food is supposed to make you sicker.

^^Can't be anything else! Doctors know that stuff is bad, yet they tolerate (probably enjoy) the crap served in their hospitals!
Note to self: next time laid up the hospital, bring own food. ;p

I'd go so far as to say that most Doctors don't even care about whether you are truly well but just healthy enough to leave their offices and come back when something else troubles you.

they truly do not know. They just do not read about it or care. Hospitals, like doctors, revolve around medicine and drugs.

^^I noticed that, too! Been overweight since I was 6. Lost 116 pounds then gained it back. I decided that I needed to be raw to release this weight---so I can be an inspiration to others to be raw!
Hugs to both of us!!

Update:
we had lunch provided today, fried chicken , chips and a token 'salad' (pasta) and some tomato and cucumber salad smothered in feta.
Dinner, greasy pizza again. Nothing for me either time...
Sigh wasn't expecting anything, but they even came up and asked what I'd eat, saying it's difficult to get something for me.
Honestly, how difficult is it to get some oranges, or other fruit or something.
Just having a whinge, but honestly, how hard is it to get some fruit? When people see this as difficult I really begin to realise like I've never realised before how steeped in junk our culture is!
This just astounds me!
Really the only contact with people who dont understand the benefits of good eating are at work and at christmas when I see some peripheral relatives. Never ceases to surprise me that something so simple is so misunderstood!
