My boyfriend and I just moved and I think that the person living in this new house smoked.
Who knows if they smoked inside or not or just outside the doors or windows either way they brought the smell inside the house.
We have been leaving all windows and doors open and have air filters on inside the house.
What I'm wondering is if anyone here knows of some good eco-cleaning products that can help remove this smell out of the walls and floors or a cleaning company that uses eco-cleaning supplies.
Thanks.

Life is short and if this is the house for you then just bury your problems and enjoy it.

ok thanks sport, not really the response that I was looking for though ;)
Luckily we will only be living in this new house for a year.
I just want to try and get the smell out as much as I can.
So far I have come up with water and vinegar to be the most effective way.
I also found some gel stuff at the store (all natural) that absorbs any odor out of the air which I'm going to give it a try.
Any other ideas would be appreciated :)

Thank you artgirly4! I'm looking it up right now :)
I can't find a list of ingredients on the site for any of the cleaners :(

I like to use stuff from Holy Cow. It has a nice smell to it & is organic.. It can be used on your walls, windows, wood, carpet, blinds, linens, even in your laundry or to remove stains from clothing! Very versatile stuff... And you can even buy it in bulk. ;) here's a link to some (http://www.amazon.com/Holy-CC326-Concentrate-Heavy-Cleaner/dp/B0014CP8R8/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1246171448&sr=8-5). You could just get some of the heavy duty cleaner (or all purpose- it would probably work just fine!) and wipe down your walls, baseboards, spray your carpet, mop your floor, clean the toilet with it.. Use it everywhere you need to, to get the smoke smell out! The window cleaner is also a very good product and I use it for my mirrors, television & all the windows. We don't even have bleach or any other kind of cleaning products, except oil for wood stuff, but you could even use Holy Cow on that, too!

Simple Green has a nice aroma and is totally eco-friendly. I have used it to clear intense odors before. I understand about the smoke residue...I'm allergic to tobacco and I would have a hard time with that personally. I have a very sensitive nose and lungs when it comes to that. We often forget about the chemicals that are dispersed in the air and land on objects from cigarettes and second hand smoke. That's the stuff I have a really hard time with actually. I digress....
Try burning essential oils too....geranium, bergamot, orange, lemon, clary sage are all good for busting through smoke smells and raising the energy vibration. Even if there's still a little smoke, your nose and spirits will be raised smelling these uplifting aromas.
Also if you put a big pot of water on the stove (if you still have pots ;))....put some cloves, cinnamon or both in it and let it boil down. My grandmother taught me this and it works every time! Your house will smell cinnamony instead of like a toxic chemical plant. :D
Good luck!

Oh yea, probably the best solution for really hardcore cases is to put charcoal in a bowl of water and place it in the impacted rooms. the smoke will be absorbed by the charcoal naturally. it really works! you can find it at GNC or on-line.
Nature's Miracle is for pet odors, but it also works really well for smoke odors (especially in the carpet & drapes).
Okay, I'm done. ;)
