Headaches from basil?

I seem to be getting headaches after heading a basil-rich food (like one or 2 bunches of basil). Does this happen to anyone else?

I have a different reaction to fresh basil. Within an hour after eating it I breakout in dozens of whiteheads all over my chin and around my mouth. Such a bummer. I love basil and kept trying to eat pesto, but after having the reaction three times there was no doubt it was the basil causing it.

Hi, TaupeRawMan and RawKnitster. I can handle the green lettuce leaf basil fine. But recently found I am allergic to the purple basil we are growing in a hydroponic garden (so I know it's not contaminated). The skin on my face burns, particularly around my chin and mouth - if I remember correctly.
