i read all the info f/ alissa on detoxing but it didn't mention the effects it will hav on ur body during exercise...does anyone know if while you're on the Master Cleanse if its okay to be exercising heavily?...i'm in cross-country and the season is starting this coming monday and practice is very rigorous...i don't want to faint or anything...so then should i start Master Cleanse after the season or is it okay to do during the season?...and b/c of the detoxing process will i have enough energy in school or depending on my body will i be tired?...thanks ^^

That's the purpose of the Maple Syrup - to give you the energy and nutrients you need while on it. When I did the MC, I still exercised A LOT (and I'm a heavy runner, too) I think, if you feel energized and up to it, go for it. But if you start feeling tired, then stop. IMO.

hotgugon, I know you didn't specifically ask about this -- but, I'm a little concerned about how you mentioned Alissa's information on detoxifying (while eating 100% raw & living foods) and linked it to the Master Cleanse. Since the Master Cleanse isn't raw and isn't a "natural" way for the body to cleanse and heal (bear with me here, MC fans - I'm defining "natural" as being solely from live fruits, veggies, nuts & seeds), be sure you don't confuse the natural detox that eating 100% often brings on with the forced cleansing that the MC is purported to do.
Just to be sure that I'm taken correctly, I'll be absolutely direct in saying that I believe that eating all live foods is the way Nature intended our bodies to heal, be strong, and be filled with energy and vitality. I don't believe that drinking maple syrup or buying "cleansing" products is necessary. So, you can see that's where I'm coming from in this post.
I'm not putting anyone down who does MC. Everyone chooses their own way for their own reasons, and, hopefully, fully informs themselves before they do it. I'm just worried that newbies may get the two things confused.
hotgugon, are you totally raw? If so, how long have you been raw? What has your experience been like -- has your body been through detoxing?

oic...yeah, i assumed that Master Cleasne and detoxing is the same thing...i haven't done any cleansing methods yet b/c i want to get info first...
so can u eliminate ur body of the accumulated toxins f/ previous yrs. of cooked food just by eating raw?...or should u also do a detoxing process for ur body to clear out and then start fresh w/ raw?...
i've been raw but not 100%...more like 85%-90% raw...i started around end of june...mostly i hav been feeling more energized and occasionally on some days sleepy...however, periodically i feel like i hav strep throat or something b/c my throat is really scratchy...o, and w/ MC b/c it isn't raw does that mean its bad for ur body or can't u just substitute raw honey for the maple syrup?...thanks

Most definitely you can detoxify the stored and accumulated toxins in your body simply by eating 100% raw, living foods. In fact - that is the optimal way to cleanse and rebuild your body.
Blessings~
