I just made Allisa's Apple ?? Muffins, only mine turned out being cookies. Anyway, are the wheat berries still suppose to be kinda crunchy at finish time. OR is the food processor suppose to chop them up finer. I know it is probably a preference thing, but I'm asking in order to figure out if the OLD Cuisinart I was given is working properly. Wondering if the blade needs replacing. It is probably 25+ years old.

So. . . help. . . how do your wheat berries turn out when processed?

Thanks!

Did you sprout them first??

Yes, yes, yes. I'm thinking I need a sharper blade. . . hence, the reason for asking about others experience.

Do you have a blender and a pint or quart glass jar? If so put the grain (dry) in the jar. Put the blender blade on the jar, and turn it upside down on the blender to grind. The smaller amount of space will help it grind to a powder real fast. ItÂ’s all right to sprout first just drain and let it dry before grinding. Flutterfly thought of this. Works great.
